Oh jeez. Just heard some Islamic group is claiming responsibility. Say he converted to Islam months ago. It's a messed up world when people WANT to be associated with a mass murderer.

ISIS claimed responsibility. I think they just do that now no matter what.

While I joke about it... to be fair, with few exceptions, ISIS has shown itself to be accurate in only claiming attacks they have directed or inspired.

This one just seems like a stretch... but I guess we'll see.

I called the Clark Cnty Commissioner's office to ask if that 'go fund me' page was legit but it seemed to be closed. I'm not aware of this being a holiday.

Different time zones. at least by 2 hours, plus not knowing when they open. I'd not be surprised if you did not get an answer before 9:00 AM MDT.

    I understand what you're saying.

Personally, I just disagree with the political "box" this term has been placed in. Murder, if done out in public, to me, is also terrorism. It was an act done to incite terror among the people.

But again, I'm not Merriam or Webster, so my personal definition may be just that, personal.

Each country has its own definition of terrorism.
Even in the US different agencies and department don't have the same definition.

FBI definition of terrorism: The unlawful use of force or violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a Government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives.

That word is use too often and improperly.
Often used just to refer to "victims".

You're only a hero if you put yourself into harm's ways to help others.
Standing up during a shooting might just be stupidity.

Yep. My point. Hero wasn't the first word to come to mind. Moron was.

Hillary Clinton is already blaming the NRA for the attack.

Our grief isn't enough. We can and must put politics aside, stand up to the NRA, and work together to try to stop this from happening again.

    And silencers apparently ... :n00b:

The crowd fled at the sound of gunshots.

Imagine the deaths if the shooter had a silencer, which the NRA wants to make easier to get.

Yeah because silencers make guns more deadly.

I am currently in Reno NV, staying on an upper floor of the Circus-Circus Hotel & Casino, and you could carry a Bazooka into the elevators anytime you want too, unarmed security here is a joke.........funny thing though, here all weekend long Reno hosted a peaceful but extremely loud "Biker" extravaganza, no violence.
Please pray for the victims and their families.
    Crazy world eh?
