It's a dual fuel, I have two of them (price was so good, why not grab a spare).
A'ok with gas here so I get the full power output and we can do everything like we're on utility power.

Its cheaper and easier to run it on gas, with plenty of 5gal cans filled and then 36 in the truck, I'm good to rock and roll. Plenty of gas stations to fill them up vs limited propane filling stations (or in my mom's case, needing a truck come top it off)...
As I said before. To each his own.Because of the bad humans can and will do. The constitution gave the people the right to create government while also removing that government when it became oppressive. The laws also give property owners the right to create a self governing system of covenants, restrictions, and an HOA to maintain them while also requiring mechanisms to change or abolish them.
I find it interesting that many of the most vocal opponents of HOA’s live in the country on land. Living on .17 acres with 15 feet between houses is a different would.
This is not an HOA issue in any way. Let’s look at the letter that was sent, if it was real. (I used pic to text so may not be precise.)
Subject: Noise Complaint Regarding Generator Usage During Recent Power Outage
Dear Non-HOA Homeowner,
We are writing in response to several complaints received from HOA members regarding the recent power outage that affected the entire town. While we understand the challenges of a blackout, your actions during this time have raised concerns among the community.
During the outage, you ublized a gas-powered backup generator to restore power to your home.
While backup generators are not prohibited, the following issues were raised.
1. Excessive Noise: Multiple HOA members reported that your generator was loud and disruptive, causing undue disturbance throughout the neighborhood. Such noise during an already stressful situation aggravated the discomfort for those without power.
2. Perceived Unfairness: Several HOA members were frustrated by the fact that while the rest of the community was without power, you were seen watching the game on your tv.

Be mindful of neighbors.
We hope this letter serves as a reminder to maintain community hammony, even during challenging situations. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.
To me this letter was informing the property owner of the complaints received by the HOA from members while and asking for consideration while acknowledging they had no legal right to stop the use. It certainly does not seem overreach to send a third party a letter noting the complaints received. INGO told me that was an appropriate way to resolve issues between neighbors.
I own several generators and get both sides. I get it that neighbors likely are hot in a power outage, maybe trying to get a baby to sleep, and they have their windows open desperately trying to get a breeze while the neighbor has a 90db generator running all night with an additional 70db from the AC unit, while they have every right, can be seen watching TV while all the neighbors suffering.
An hour, but I don't believe she is stripping. But I do come and go at all hours with my sound job, and I notice she does the same at all hours. Don't know if she is parting ETC. And don't really care. loltalk about a commute! how close is the nearest strip club from LaGrange?
Not a single one? Can you at least understand why others do want them?I can't think of a single reason to love an HOA.
How far apart are the homes? How big are the lots?I just bought a house in an quiet, older subdivision and am fortunate that there is no HOA. I wouldn't have bought it if there was. All the houses are of different architecture and colors. No two are the same. People fly their flags, plant whatever flowers they want and make their property their own, which is the way it should be.
What happens when owners have homes on .17 acre lots and homes are 20 feet apart and they don’t maintain their property well and are respectful of others property? The reason I don't want an HOA is simple. People need to mind their own business. My neighbors are mostly Veterans or are still serving. That is one of the things that attracted me to the neighborhood. They all maintain their property well and are respectful of others property.
I have never seen covenants that restrict putting in a generator but I do expect there may be in the future as I also expect more code, insurance, regs, and enforcement on wiring connecting to house wiring, especially for DIY connections without a transfer switch.I plan to put a generator in my house in case we lose power for several days. Even if I had an HOA I would do this. It's stupid to think an HOA can tell you that you can't have a generator in an emergency to power your home.
If other people are not prepared for emergencies, that's on them.
Just my 2, YMMV.
Then that cpap or 02 user has the responsibility to handle their own affairs and also have a generator of some kind. its what responsible people do.100%! This is right! Most folks probably assumed the complaints were from entitled a-holes, what if neighbors complaining were in need of power for c-pac machines or other medical devices and the generator user was the one not looking “at someone else's plate is to make sure they have enough”?
Now there's a guy getting KICKBACKS from the BUILDERS!
My wife or myself are on the board for that reason. We aren’t crazy and that’s important. Are their actions opposed by a super majority? Simple majority? What do the covenants say? If a super majority oppose their actions get proxies from a super majority and send them on their way and put in sane folks the next election.
This often does occur when the good, honest, reasonable men decide to put it on autopilot and leave the door ajar for crazies to get in. Better the honest, reasonable men stay in control, and if one crazy does get on the board they quickly get them off and mitigate their damage than let them take over because they were too busy.

You do realize I just had to admit to INGOMIke that I was wrong and he was right? Do you have any idea what that does to my psychological well being? But what a sales pitch that guy has!
I will say, years ago my wife and I had looked at a newer neighborhood in Franklin Twp (Indy area). Thankfully, we didn't buy in there as it currently looks like the neighborhood he describes...
Man oh man. @foszoe will never be the same again...You do realize I just had to admit to INGOMIke that I was wrong and he was right? Do you have any idea what that does to my psychological well being?
You don't have to quote THAT post and throw in my face over and over again!
I may not be able to post for awhile as I try to recover.
