I swear to god I have never met such a group of thin skinned pansies. Someone with a different opinion than your own and you get your panties so wadded up, and so much sand up the vaginal crease that you can't think straight.

Damn people, it's the internet. Lighten up.

Maybe you should lighten up instead of insulting a large group of people comparing open carrying to walking around with my dick hanging out. That same attitude is why my son's birthday party almost got ruined simply because I had a gun on my waist that was only visible for the short period of time I took my overshirt off and some drunk took offense to it. Everyone I have ever met does not open carry as an ego thing as you suggest, and the misconception is much akin to people who carry versus antis. Also I might add that it is possible to express your opinion without wording it as an insult.

And you need to read what I wrote. I never said don't OC. I never said don't carry at all. What I said was ALL SIDES need to give a little. Meaning that drunk that took offense to your CC should have taken the opportunity to stand back from his anti-gun beliefs and conceeded that while you were carrying you were not shoving it in anyone's face.

This is a case where both sides did not give. Again, no compromise can happen if only one side gives.

Not only that, but giving negative rep? Really? So one may not construct an opinion that is not of the hive without consequences of a negative rep. Nice. Childish and socialistic, but nice.

There are lots of people who think it's crazy to own more than one gun. Will you compromise with them?

In what way does it make sense that I should compromise with a drunk? He chose to come to the party, he chose to drink, he chose to be an irresponsible person, and he chose to make himself out as the bad guy. Why in any of this should I have to suffer even the slightest compromise? I think the fact that I didn't call the police on him for drunk in public was compromise enough. Also continually editing your posts to add more to them after someone has responded to what you have already said makes it seem as if you are trying to sneak a word in edgewise to make someone look foolish.

And they need to learn to compromise a little as well. Whether that be they don't know of more than one or they just ignore it.

Compromise. I swear, does no one give to help your neighbor? None? Have we become the "**** you if it is not what I want" type of society? I sure hope not.

So you're admitting that you would compromise with them? If you owned 4 guns, and they thought nobody should own more than one, you could both compromise at 2?

Like I said.... but apparently the red mist over your eyes has made it hard to read.... you did compromise. You displayed for a very short period of time. You were not strapped to the leg and an AR over the shoulder. The douche that complained is the one that refused to compromise any for you.

Seemed as though you were saying I was in the wrong, sorry for the misconception.

Why are you trying to force compromise on rights?

I have yet to see any form of compromise in your conversations...

If it makes you feel any better I was trying to pos rep you in another thread, the only reason I neg repped you is it seemed you were trying to form your opinion as an insult. Rep means absolutely nothing I just see it as a way to show that I disagreed with your delivery without derailing the thread. Nothing personal and not a broad statement against you just that particular post.

Interesting how some think a particular right is absolute. This thread contains several posts promoting OC as an absolute right that cannot ever be inappropriate. Some people think freedom of speech is an absolute right to include profanity anytime, anyplace, any situation. Do those that promote their absolute right to OC anytime, anyplace, and any situation also support others right to absolute free speech? All types of speech anytime, anyplace, and any situation? Do you want your children exposed to profanity in McDonalds?

    With Rights come Responsibility.

No, I wouldn't want my children to listen to someone swearing, but I can exercise my right to leave. It's not my place to try to limit anyone's rights or be their moral compass. It's my responsibility to mind my own business. Rights are absolute, whether you agree with them or not.

And you so stole that line from spiderman. :)

well even though im highly contemplating being an officer, there was no right in what they had done, however having said that, look what they deal with on a day to day basis, especially this year!

So, IF this story were true, you would give them a pass because of what they have to deal with?
