I have never heard a very clear explanation of how Democrats are different from Socialists. Socialism and, ultimately, Communism is the end that Democrats seek. I think Sanders is just being an honest Democrat when describing himself as a Socialist.

As for the voters selecting Trump because is not a politician. It was dumb, and continues to get dumber. Would you hire a mechanic to give you a root canal? Of course not. Would it be fun to watch? Maybe. My hope during the primaries was that someone would be chosen that is at least A LITTLE FAMILIAR with the office of the President and the Constitutional limits imposed on that branch.

Communism, eh? Which form? I mean mirroring which nation?

Don't know if it's been mentioned, but Michael Moore said Trump won the debate. That's big coming from a supremely anti-gun leftist with a lot of money.

I think what's important is bringing to light the fact that the party's sole purpose is wresting power from the hands of the people and housing it completely within the federal government. What would you call it when a government owns all the property and livelihood of its citizens? Democrats intend to lead us down a path to utter despotism.

Is this your first trip to the politics section? These same points get rehashed every election cycle. They're worn out.
You don't think with one more extreme liberal on The Court (or two, or three), that the left will do what they can to limit our rights?

You know what allows me to create jobs? Lowering my costs of doing business. It frees up capital that I can use to expand, grow, hire more people. Raising my taxes means I have less money for capital investment, I can't expand, can't grow, can't hire more people. And all the fancy double talk in the world won't change that simple fact.

But what do I know? I've only been running a small business for 20 years.

EVERY "Liberal", NEEDS to read that !!!!!

Today, we have a wimpy GOP who doesn't like the black man in the White House and so they do what? Nominate Trump.

    Are you ****ing kidding me?!!!!
we do have a wimpy GOP, but the Presidents skin color has NOTHING to do with the reasons most Republicans and Conservitives don't like his opinions and policy's.

EVERY "Liberal", NEEDS to read that !!!!!

Every time a liberal has read that, they've told me I'm full of **** and don't know how to run a business and whine about trickle-down economics.

Then they probably go to their low-paying job, help someone else make money, and cry about income inequality.

They fail to see the problems with their position.

How anyone can think that raising minimum wage and giving away college and/or anything else, taking from some and giving to others, will make the economy grow!?

Of course they will, they'd likely attempt to trample all over our rights.

Nothing wakes up sleeping Americans like treading on them. :patriot:

How would that be worse than the perpetual sapping away of our liberty incrementally over the long haul?

Sure. Until he gets elected. Then Evanka becomes Supreme Court Justice. Sonny boy runs Treasury. The list of possibles would include anyone who could enrich Trump.

I know some of you were old enough to be teenagers (at least) during the Vietnam War and the draft. Today's "blow **** up" isn't even close to what was going on back then. Watts burning. Selma. The Kennedy assasinations. Ford and Reagan getting shot or shot at. Real protests by a good portion of the white population. An impeachment (for a pretty minor crime). The good old days weren't the good old days. There was much more unrest.

Today, we have a wimpy GOP who doesn't like the black man in the White House and so they do what? Nominate Trump.

    Are you ****ing kidding me?!!!!

    1) Not Ivanka. It's his sister he said he might nominate. She's a judge appointed to the federal court by Reagan, and then appointed to Court of Appeals by Bill Clinton. She's said to hold progressive views now.

    2) Today's GOP is weakened because it is fractured. There isn't nearly the party unity that there once was.

    3) Few GOP voters dislike simply because he's black. For crying out loud, Ben ****ING Carson was one of the most popular GOP candidates until he made some political mistakes. The GOP's dislike for Obama is purely ideological and partisan. Even the occasional "Kenyan" remark is more about the belief that Obama was not actually a "natural born" American citizen. If the exact circumstances existed except it was Canada instead of Kenya, people would have been calling him the Canadian. Would that be racist? Of course not.

    4) Nominate Trump. Yeah, you got me there. I guess my only explanation for that is the mesmerizing middle finger theory. I mean, damn, even smarmy Ted Cruz would probably be beating Hillary pretty badly at this point. And he was the 3rd most disliked candidate since keeping track!

So did 215 Republicans and 81 other Dems.

It's a work in progress. I'm confident the problems will be solved; we have top men working on it. Top. Men.

(And the ones who solve it will be our next billionaires...)

It's a dying industry. I'm sure all those families can simply move and find better jobs, as others have mentioned.

What purpose does the hack do for Assange, and what does it do for Russia? Occam's Razor. How did Assange do it while essentially captive in an embassy?

Where are your data for such claims? The Washington Post debunked most of them.

    Supported by 46 Republicans.

    Wrong. Just so wrong.

Byrd himself apologized for his early views on race.

ONLY Democrats? Really? Glass-Steagall might have prevented that, but we know what happened to that law. (it was the Republicans...).

Sorry, not enough space to list all the Americans killed under Reagan, Bush and GWB.

From a 1970s-era issue of Mad Magazine: "Diplomacy is to do and say, the nastiest thing the nicest way."

You think he has not been fighting dirty? As for rape allegations, maybe you'd better rethink that...

Yeah...IRONCLAD cases all. Prosecutors are just lining up to bring charges! I mean, it's not like they've had DECADES to do just that...

Me too! But perhaps he shouldn't use cocaine the next time....***sniffle, snuff***

On the phone, so I'll just address a few.

Because others voted for for the war that makes it okay? It just shows she is political opportunist, like stating "marriage between a man and a woman was bedrock principal" a few years ago.

So we should waste billions developing expensive battery technology to store solar and wind boondoggle energy? Why not concentrate on a real solution to our energy problems like cold fusion?
In the meantime coal dies at the hands of cheap natural gas, and regulation, not at the hand of impractical renewables, but wait for natural gas prices to spike, we'll be screwed.

Again republicans supported mandatory minimum so that makes it okay? In that case you should be all for Trump's stop and frisk since republican Rudy Guliani supported it.

Byrd was a racist dirt bag of the 10th degree, but he apologized so that makes it okay? It just proves as long as you are on the left side of the spectrum you can get away with anything.

Really? The Clintons murder for personal gain, and preservation, and it is some how compared to lives lost in war, which if you haven't noticed over the last 8 years isn't confined to republican presidents
