    Where's the bacon?
Anyone know what the GOV thinks of it? I'm assuming he will sign, but does anyone have any specific info?

    Per votesmart.org:

Can't conceive of him vetoing it. Very, very outside chance that he might just let it turn into law without signing or comment, but I imagine he's going to enthusiastically put his stamp on it. Maybe we could get him to send a letter to W. Virginia's Governor asking for carry reciprocity at the same time :)

I've been pushing this also, as has at least one State Rep.
I still don't have an answer as to when it will happen, but I'd be surprised if it doesn't happen this year.

    Blessings,
    Bill

Thank you all who persevered in your emails and letters. I have learned a lot about the political process and am anxious to get involved. Thank you again for helping to make this happen.

Wish I could rep you all. :)

I just want to say thanks everybody that worked on this! As a father of elementary and preschool aged children and a teacher, this was very important to me.

With a wife as a school teacher (in your town I might add), and a middle school aged child at home, I wholeheartedly agree!

Whoops, I thought we were already good to go in WV?! I'm glad no soccer moms ran away while screaming, no children were hurt, planes didn't falls from the sky.

Great, this will become law just as my son is wrapping of 11th grade. I may or may not have ignored the law for 10.5 years.

    P.S: Still pretty exciting!

For the last few years, it's been legal to have a gun in the parking lot, you just couldn't get out of your car. Somehow, rampages didn't happen in spite of all the anti- rhetoric.

    Right here.
This is some of the best news I heard coming out of the Indiana House and Senate in a while.

Thanks to BoR and BB3 for all the constant updates and to all that sent emails, snail mails, and made phone calls (my email sent folder is overflowing!) to support these Bills. I too will be following up my sent list with thank you notes for the yea voters!

Now that it's done, I admit to no small satisfaction that it should be glaringly apparent to her benefactors how ineffective that Zionsville creature is when she can't even deliver her own state for the anti-gun forces.

Probably a really stupid question but I'll ask anyway. I've never written a thank you letter to my legislatures after they have voted in favor of something that I supported and suppose it would be a good idea to do so. What does one include in such a letter other than "thank you for voting in support of SB 229"? I'm not sure it would be a good idea to recap on why I think it's a good law because I would rather keep this short and sweet.

    Thoughts?
