    now what?

House has to vote after it returns from recess. But I'm sure it will be no problem passing it in the house. The big thing was getting it through conference committee. There's been support for it all along in the house.

Crap! Missed the live stream in the Senate. Great news, though! So, since it has passed the Senate, do we get to see the text of the Bill? What's the passed Bill look like?

    Where's the bacon?
Am I missing something? What happened to the roaming school zone part of the bill?

The roaming school zone will be dead as soon as it passes. Edited in below:

    "
SECTION 7. IC 35-47-9-2, AS AMENDED BY P.L.172-2013,
SECTION 13, AND AS AMENDED BY P.L.158-2013, SECTION
601, IS CORRECTED AND AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS
[EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2014]: Sec. 2. (a) Except as provided in
    subsection (b),
a person who knowingly or intentionally possesses a
    firearm:
    (1) in or on school property; or
[strike](2) in or on property that is being used by a school for a school function; or [/strike]
    [strike](3)[/strike] (2) on a school bus; commits a [strike]Class D[/strike] Level 6 felony.
    "
The line that used to be #2, "in or on property being used..." was the roaming school zone.

I do appreciate Taylor's comment that he would have supported the bill if it contained language that teachers carry on school property and I assume he meant in the classroom. His other comments were a bit of the wall.

Earlier people were commenting about how they have never gotten a personal response from their reps. I've had the same experiences with ONE exception. State Rep Cindy Kirchoffer. She personaly responds and is very pro gun!
