Will this wind ever let up? I left the stand around 9:45 this morning and decided to go drive around. Put 70 miles on the truck and seen 4 does and 1 yote; that was it.

Shot this guy Sunday morning around 8 a.m. Was actually standing up to climb down out of the stand because I hadn't seen anything all morning and the wind was crazy. Happened to look right at him as he was walking towards me up a hill. Sat back down and here he is.

I spotted this deer first thing this morning at about 130 yards. I did a belly crawl for about 50 to 60 yards and postioned my self up against a tree. I easied the cross hairs up on him and squeezed the trigger of my trusty 20ga. He only went 30 to 40 yards before dropping. Not the most exciting hunt, but this is a real nice 3 to 4 year old 8 pointer with good mass.

Edit: I just did a rough green score with a buddy of mine and it measured 140 1/8". I hope he doesn't shrink too much.

Bagged a 170# (field dressed) doe this morning at 7:30am. She came down a wash after I followed her along a ridgeline. Went about 60 yards after I got her in the jugular.
Marlin 44 Rem Mag, approx 50 yards, Nikon Omega 3-9x40 scope.

Can't wait for some summer sausage, breakfast sausage, and ground venison!
