Thanks. I've always wanted a 1911 but could never justify the price point for a nice one. Had a good year this year and decided it was finally time. I'm very satisfied w/ the DW; for a production gun, its quality is top-notch.

I agree. Just bought my first DW as well and have been very impressed.

No pics of the firearm, but here are some grips I recently made for 1911's.

Wow. Those are dead sexy. I have thus far stayed clear of 1911's but I feel like I am starting to get an itch.... :)

Thanks guys. They run as good as they look. Forget what you've heard about Colts. They are making 1911's better than ever. These guns are tight, no rattle. The Special Combat Gov't is a Colt Custom Shop gun and it shows in every detail.

Love them Springfield RO's and I have one in 9mm. So much so that I started the search for one in .45 but as I look around I think I've decided to get something along the lines of a MC Operator or TRP. A hard decision between the two but would probably be happy with either one. Come to think of it a nice Dan Wesson would fit the bill too. Sighhhhh.... These 1911's are horrible good!

    Diggin' the 1911 goodness

First I scored a beautiful Springfield RO .45 from Churchmouse today! Full of EGW trigger components, hand fitted bushing, S&A magwell and stainless controls.

Last week I snagged a brand new Springfield MC Operator .45
