The trigger is a EGW piece. AllenM uses EGW parts frequently and I have them in a couple 1911 builds. You can buy the trigger separately or in one of their ignition kits with the sear, disconnector, sear spring and hammer.

Real new to the forum and just getting into owning firearms. Had a BB Gun rifle as a teenager and a 20 year retired military guy. But anyway I guess you've found these triggers and kits much better than stock. I've seen AllenM's name mentioned but unfamiliar with exactly who he is. Did he install it for you or did you order and install it yourself?

    This is AllenM: https://www.indianagunowners.com/forums/diamond-collision/ :)

If I ever get a 1911 I want AllenM and Churchmouse involved in making it the best 1911 ever. :rockwoot:

First off, thank you for serving. What branch?

Welcome to the firearms community. We are living a great time as far as firearm ownership goes. There are so many different types available, anyone can have what fits them perfectly. If you get into the whole world of craftsmanship, then 1911s are where you want to be and AllenM along with CM are names to know. AllenM is one of those guys that someday you will be saying 'I knew him before he became famous for 1911s". CM is one of those old school pistol smiths that just knows how to bring out the best in a sear and hammer. Just don't let him shoot anything striker fired. That does not come out so well for him. :): We are really lucky here in Central Indiana right now in that we have a lot of talent available that produce some great projects.

Thank you sir. Army retired 20 years. Thanks for the additional information and insight. My first purchase was a Walter PPQ M2, but it was not long after that I had to have that Beretta I saw first in the service and then finally a 1911. Right now the only thing potentially on the radar besides another 1911 is the Wilson Combat Beretta. But I can already see that it may very will be nothing but 1911s from here on out.

So let me get this straight, Walther PPQ, DW Bobtail Commander, and Beretta. Man after my own heart! Those are fine choices. The WC Beretta is nice, I have been tempted by them on several occasions.

Thank you sir and Yes sir, that is correct. I did also pickup a XDs 3inch, Sig PP226, and 92FS compact w/no rail. However like I said I think I'm at the point where besides the WC Beretta I'm pretty much sold on the 1911.

Thought I'd post a shot of my CZ 1911A1 that I took yesterday. This is after about 1500 rounds down the pipe and the gun's starting to get that nice worn in look and feel.

    Very nice.

So does CZ still produce a 1911 under the CZ name even though the CZ owns Dan Wesson?

CZ made a small batch of 1911s back in 2015/2016. They were actually built by Dan Wesson for CZ and are pure Dan Wesson inside. For some reason, they only built 1000 or so and then stopped. They are some of the best deals in 1911s you can find in that you get what is essentially a USGI style DW Heritage for about $400 less. There have been a couple of new ones seen lately with serial numbers over the initial 1000 and the story is that they were built up out of extras from the first run. I don't know if that's true or not, but someone on a different forum reportedly picked one of those up at a PX for $654. If that's true, then it is, hands down, the best 1911 for the money aside from winning one in a raffle. You can still find the early ones around new in some places for about $850.

Thanks for replying. Very interesting, and they really do sound like a great deal. I'd probably spend a good time trying to track one down had I not just purchased a Dan Wesson a week or so ago and I am looking at maybe getting a WC Beretta here in about a month or so. I also picked up a Sig P226 about a month ago so I've kind of blew my gun budget for awhile.

Curious however, do you happen to know if these and the Dan Wessons which are not in their Valor flagship line which cost less use MIM parts or are all of their gun parts made from forged steel? It's my understanding all steel framed guns regardless are made from forged steel. To be honest in practicality I'm not sure how much that matters with regards to the parts. I've seen some conflicting information and I believe at one point this was true and it seems that would still be the case given price differences but the website doesn't really say one way or another.

Since this is a picture thread, to my knowledge all parts on every Dan Wesson are forged or machined with no MIM whatsoever in any of their guns. I personally own a VBOB, Specialist, Point Man 9 and a ECO and internally they all have the same parts or so it appears to me. I think the Valor might get a little bit extra in terms of actual hand fitting but to be honest the fit and finish on all of my Dan Wessons is the same and that is superb. They are some of the best 1911's out there I would not personally worry too much about it :rockwoot:

Thank you sir. Not concerned just curious. Especially since I've seen and read a few different things. For example there is a YouTube video where Nutnfancy speaks to the good folks from Dan Wesson however this is more than a few years old and it is extremely possible this account may no longer be the case.

    Because it's a picture thread.
