    The 1924 is refinished, it was in very bad shape when I picked it up, not even functioning. It was my carry gun for years after that. The 1927 is the original Colt blue.:)

    Beauties! I notice that they are both government models, but I noticed quite a few differences between the two. Care to highlight the differences for me? I don't own a Colt, but would love to and love to learn more about them.

    One is a Series 70 the other a Series 80. The link below has information and photos that do a good job of explaining the differences. Certainly better than I can do.
