I first look at the magazine on a failure to feed. Next, I'll look at the cleanliness of the weapon. How many shots have been fired before the FF issue? 1-2 or 10-20, more then likely a magazine issue. 75-150 .... more then likely a need to clean (dirty ammo) issue. If the weapon is fairly...
I have OC'd with all my larger caliber handguns at some point. Gov. 1911, Springfield XD Service, Walther PK380 and even my M&P Pro 9mm. Like another person said, you will get more comfortable the more you do it. It's no different then having a multi-tool or knife on your belt in my eyes.
I had a great show. Found a holster for my PT1911, which normally isn't an issue until you throw that oversize rail on the front. :) I also traded my aging XD 357 sig for a new S&W M&P 9mm Pro. what a great deal. Only $110 out of pocket. And of course I had to pick up a Surpa holster for...
I have to commend every officer in the place. No fast movements, no drawn weapons. Calm and collected. I'm sure it would have been a different story if people were running and screaming.
No kidding spitfire..... I was by the roasted nuts booth when it happened.... My friend and I went bone stiff, along with the rest of the place. You could have heard a pin drop. I was anticipating screams and yells. But none came forth. I knew it was a firearm discharge but a few people...
Noblesville Dicks Bodacious B.B.Q....... Man, I love that place. And they are supper friendly to open carriers. Owner said he would be happy to have a larger group in sometime for a carry dinner.
Also OC'd at the Gas America and Wal-Mart.
The state of Indiana has given those that posses a LTCH the right to do so. If an individual posses a handgun and the permit while choosing to eat at a Hooters, I say "cover it up and go in and eat." I will not leave my gun in the car, but Hooters is well within their right to ask me to leave...
Not sure if this thread is dead yet, or if you got your answers. I am a member and can explain some of these questions.
1. Is there a longer range rifle area, or just the front ranges? It looked like there might be a longer distance range behind the berm for the front ranges, but I was...
I'm glad to hear that someone has had decent success with the PK380. I put around 1500 rounds through mine before the slide started to get sloppy on the rails. I also had all kinds of FTE issues with mine, but it had nothing to do with being limp wrist-ed.
I can't help out with the grips but...
Worst ever purchase..... Walther PK380. Bought new and you could not go through a full magazine of ammo without having several FTE's. Thought maybe it was a wear-in issue so I kept feeding the thing more ammo. Somewhere around 1500 rounds the slide started to get loose on the frame and it...
I just got my first 1911.... oh, and by the by, it's a Taurus PT1911. LOVE IT!!!! I have had several (Plastic) guns and will more then likely consider trading most of them, but the 1911..... NO!!! No trading of that weapon. It is mine for good.
I have purchased a new fiber optic front sight for my XD. Took it to a gunsmith to have it put on. Looks like it is a no go however. The gunsmith said he tried a sight pusher and a brass punch and the stock sight wouldn't budge. Not to mention the my sight now has a pretty nasty rolled edge...
I buy from gunbrokers.com there are all kinds of people selling once fired brass at good prices. Some of them even clean it first!!!! Just received 1000 357 Sig casings for $42.00. It was already sorted, deprimed and cleaned....
You could do this at Atlanta conservation club couldn't you? Heck, they shoot 3 gun and USPSA there. I don't see a whole lot of difference between what you want to do and those sports. Am I wrong??:dunno:
Thank you for the responses thus far. I am aware of the caution for using coated bullets in a ported barrel. I would steer clear of that as well.
Are the Barry's bullets the best price for performance? And is this the best choice for my 357 Sig reloads? 9mm plated pistol bullets
