      anschutz vs. ruger 22 l.r.

love my anschutz. I have had a few guns that would keep up with it. ruger 77 with volquartsen heavy barrel and a good trigger job. Marlin 2000L both gone now, but the anschutz is still here. maybe its the 4oz trigger i cant live without

      Tommy Guns

the sbr's are available through kahr (the moonies) from your local c3 dealer. I would however suggest you save up and buy a full auto. 4 years ago, i sold off manythousands of dollars worth of guns to buy a colt full auto, and have not regretted it a bit. the semis have been plagued with...

Why do people buy match grade rifles and then put crap optics on them?

you have to remember that this is Indiana, and most people around here consider 300 yards to be a looooong shot. we are not a state of rifle shooters. you see alot of rifles capable of extreme true long range accuracy that will never be used for more than 100 yards, and will not see 500 rounds...

      Henry rifles???

IMHO the henry's are the best lever .22lr available. smooth action, good triggers, good accuracy, and great price. the marlin 39a may have a slight edge in accuracy, but usually have poor triggers

      Starting to build my collection

the crickets are good rifles, but will soon be outgrown. I really like the peep sight set up of the cricket. being an instructor, i have found that is easier to teach kids to shoot with a peep than other open sights. I have two in my safe right now, one that my nephew has outgrown and will keep...

      .17 HMR ?

17 hmr is definitely an accurate round, and great for squirrels etc. but it is nominal at best for coyote. too light and fast, breaks up on impact. I know too many people who have tried it and were not happy with the terminal ballistics on medium game. .223 gives you more range for a sure kill...

      Black Poweder Percussion Caps Question

more than likely it takes a #11 unless somenoe has changed the nipple. if you cant find a knowledgeable person at the local shop, remove the nipple, take it to the store with you and see which cap fits properly.

One more gun, what to choose?

finish the ar build, you can never have too many ar's, and if the need arises, you can always sell the extra lower, and still have 2 configurations to put on your one remaining lower
