      A friend put a new trigger in his Springfield 1911 and has now had it "double fire" four times. Is trigger overtravel adjustment the only thing that would cause this? Does the mainspring have anything to do with this? His new trigger does have the adjustment screw but he doesn't know if this...

      Thanks for the reply. To be honest, I hadn't even thought of damage to the powder. I was more concerned with live rounds banging against each other and maybe creating a loud boom. Several people have commented that they do this without incident so just my misconception. I'm old but not too...

      Rookie Mistake

      FYI - I needed to pull several bullets and purchased a Forrester collet style puller. The loaded rounds had 230 gr. lead round nose bullets. THE COLLET STYLE PULLER WILL NOT WORK ON THESE BULLETS. If not adjusted down far enough it does not grip bullet. If adjusted down far enough to grip...

      1911 Ejector Problem - Please advise.

      A friend just had his come loose. He replaced it using blue locktite. So far it is holding up fine. Did RIA offer any instructions on securing the ejector?

      I'm over 50 and really like my SW 642 for carry. I would prefer 45 ACP but just don't feel comfortable carrying "cocked and locked".

      importance of head stamps with 9mm

      When did all this "small primer" stuff start with 45s? Until recently I had never had a problem except with the nt headstamp. Out of the last 1000 45 cases primed I found over 150 small primer (all Federal). Just what we need - one more variable.

      Case trimmer

      I've had the Forster for years. If you are interested in accuracy, you can't go wrong with this trimmer. I have mine mounted on piece of wood so it can be clamped in a vise. Works great. Good luck.

      I was driving through a neighborhood the other day where I actually saw little children playing with rocks. Adults were just standing around watching and making no effort to stop them. Where is the responsiblity? We need a law to correct this practice.

      Victim Pulls Guns on Attackers

      What do you do when one or both of the two men you are detaining decides to walk or run away. Immediate threat is gone. I would think that if you fired to prevent escape you would be on very shaky ground with the law. Just my thoughts....
