From a livestock standpoint, I'd say let it go. You said it best that there are no problems and nothing is missing. Once had a biologist speak to our cattlemans association about predators and their control. If you have a coyote and no problems, you have a "good" one. Kill it and you will have...
This was actively discussed on a diesel forum I'm on. You are right about new vehicles, basically if it has a mechanical fuel pump, it will work. So pre-2000 is a guideline. I run straight WMO in my 92 Dodge and 78 IH tractor. I have a hand crank barrel pump I welded a fitting on to put a couple...
In the past two weeks I've gone into 2 LSG looking for a specific pistol. Both times I was told that they "don't have that but this is pretty close". If I was asking about features and they made suggestions, it would be fine, but if I'm asking for a specific model. If you went into a restaurant...
I carry at that Marsh about once a week, I can't believe they haven't called the SWAT team on me for buying milk. I'll be stopping in at the Starbucks nest to Best Buy.
We talk about SHTF at work sometimes. I have another school of thought that I like to tease the super thin runners about: when society fails I can go for several days on my reserves, the twigs will be dead by nightfall. Of course I'm joking, but these guys have so little fat and such a high...
It was privately owned, sort of before the Government took control. It was run by TVA the power company and also by the Corps of Engineers. I was once pulled over there on my way to school one weekend( lived on the east side, Murray State is on the west). After searching my vehicle and running...
This one might take the cake. When I was in college, I was a cheerleader. Our basketball team had made it to the conference finals which was in a large city. After the game, all of the men on the squad wanted to go out to eat. That time of night, the only restaurants that were open were across...
Lead character always carries a shotgun on chase. Funny thing, one episode they went to a hotel and the "new guy" picked up an MP5 or some smg, the senior officer told him they had to worry about rounds going through walls so better take th AR instead. Don't they have any technical advisors?
To be honest, I'd just recycle them. I don't think you 'd get much of a market for them. Oliver Winery gives away used bottles from their tasting room for free. They have a shed out back with thousands of bottles for the taking. THey encourage home winemakers to take them. Still, every week or...
I read an article in Guns and Ammo where the author did a pretty good real world "brush gun" test. The top finisher was a .44 mag rifle. One of the lowest, if not the lowest was the 12 guage slug. Interestingly, everyone's favorite "brush gun", the 30-30 also finished very poorly.
If you just want ammonium nitrate, go to a farm store. Most any good one like a White River Co-op should be fine. You can probably even get by with TSC.
When I say burnt oil, I'm using country slang for used motor oil. Its black and looks burned, but I son't mean that it has been drained and then ignited and then used. The sulfur in the oil is soothing to the skin as well as the oil itself. The oil chokes the sarcoptic mite that is causing the...
Keep it simple, you've got a Garand, a 30-06 for long range keeps you from having to sort things. I've seen some data that puts the 06 and the .308 pretty much equal, so it just seems to make it easier. Like having a revolver and rifle in the same caliber.
Pretty much any older( not common rail) engine will run on a mixture of diesel and used oil. Generally the older the engine, the more it can run. A 24 valve Cummins could run maybe 10%, a 12 valve up near 50%, the original 12 valves(First Generation) can run almost 100%. There is an issue with...
So it looks like I can knock the hood off with a punch. Then, if need be I can knock out the sight and unscrew the mount. Then I just need a flush fit screw and I'll be back in business. Anyone concur, disagree or just want me to go away?
Hey everyone, I've got another fun dilemma. I took the decades old Weaver K4 off my pre '64 30-06 because it was getting blurry and was only 4 powere in the first place. Got a new Redfield Accurange 3-9x40. Its great, can't wait to shoot it. Problem is, its mounted right down on the the action...
My father was once evangelizing some of our horses attributes and was asked if they were able to be fired off of. he responded that all of them could be shot off of, but he made no guarantees what they'd do afterwards!
