You need more of a pink nail polish then a deep red. Consider the background color as a darkening factor, as nail polish is always somewhat transparent.
*sigh* living with women...
if you are in indy, I am sure you can make plans to meet up with me or any other old arms guy and we'd let you know what you have, mate. or, hit a gun shop and ask, some places MIGHT actually be honest!
Did the same at 500 yards. Bulls-eye 3 out of 5. Twice in a row my first time out to the range with it, after warming up to the rifle for a bit at the 100 yards.
BTW, I always thought of Savage as a ''discount" brand name that did make some neat Enfields in WW2. Is it considered a real rifle...
P 38 is a hoot to shoot!
feel free to kick me for that cheesy wording later.
traded my lats one a while back, still have the holster. Nothing like pulling it out and demanding to see one's papers in a mock german accent.
yeah, you have a problem there. That's a very dangerous and defective rifle. The Spaniards used to sabotage them before exporting them, in order to hurt ynaks. I will gladly stop by and pick it up from you, for proper disposal. And you don't even have to pay me a disposal fee!
pretty sure he is talking about M1. best bet is gun shows. They do walk in all the time as people try to move them. Sometimes you get a very decent deal sitting on the tables as well, if you get there at opening :) Otherwise, gunbroker is your best friend.
Black garbage bag = sun is what I have always used. Or a steel barrel with a black trash bag cover, if you have a spare one. Either way, getting ALL the cosmo from the stock is a pain, My yugo M48, although supposedly cleaned by the importer AND sweated out by me after i got it still got boiling...
I've seen a bunch of facebook posts from friends who did not own firearms stating they are intending to purchase one now. granted, many of them are my NY friends who are considering getting one after the hurricane looting and crime happenings over there, but I doubt there's a HUGE spike. Most of...
I doubt it is SCW.I've had a Remington mosin that went through SCW and it was marked by spain after they defeated the socialist uprising. To my knowledge, most rifles captured from the leftist forces by nationalists at the wake of the war were either destroyed or marked and stored until they...
Honestly, the bayonet is most likely worth more then a rusty and bubba'd stock Arisaka. my offer would be $100 tops for both. Unless it's some sort of extremely rare marking or the paratrooper model or something else very unusual.
-side note- I really wish people would STOP "improving" classic...
Thanks guys. Stopped by the store today, spoke to Kristina, grabbed an ammo can. Spoke to Walk later in the evening and we will chat tomorrow face to face. Hopefully this will be productive discussion and you guys will have new stuff to look at and play with!
Something I only recently thought of to store: Sterno or any other brand of alcohol fuel. Small, portable, fairly light and can heat up food in case of an issue. I originally inherited a bunch from my friend who moved and was cleaning out his camping stuff. Put it away and didn't think about it...
Whatever the event will be, it's civil unrest that is of most concern to me. As we're seeing in NY, once food supplies dry up and FEMA is nowhere to be seen, people will start snapping.
I might step it up a bit, especially when it comes to non-perishable long term storage foods, as I mainly have been buying and rotating pantry-type stuff. Hopefully barry will leave 2nd amendment alone for now, otherwise ammo is going to shoot up in price because of speculations.
