      Leather buttstock cover, Black tar goop?

      3M makes a spray that you can get at most automotive stores. It is called 3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner. It removes adhesive residue, road tar, grease, oil, tree sap, dead bugs, etc. I use it to remove road tar off my vehicles. It's worth a try.

      What dog am I looking for?

      How about a Dogo Argentino. It is about 3 inches taller, on average than a boxer but because it is so muscular it is a little heavier. Here is a link to an Animal Planet review on them.
