Have you ever drawn your gun...

Only out of precaution, but I wouldn't even consider that drawing since I just picked it up off the table. Some drunk guy tried to get in my front door at about 3am. Turns out he was looking for the neighbors. He never saw it, but even in his drunk state he apologised for bothering me lol.

Congrats to you and your son. Nice duty station for him too! Had my blue cord once, but took it off last year to put on the wig wag flags... ;)

Buddy is enlisting into the Indiana NG...questions...

Green to gold is for active duty enlisted soldiers who want to go to college and do ROTC. Not gonna be an option for this guy. It is a pretty sweet deal though.

Buddy is enlisting into the Indiana NG...questions...

I don't know why there would be a year wait. Maybe if he enlisted with an actual MOS (like "infantry" instead of "officer candidate") and went to AIT after basic, then he might have to apply for OCS and it could take a year. But you don't have to go to AIT(advanced individual training) to be an...

Elderly gunman opens fire at Holocaust Museum

A crazy, hate-filled idiot like this can only serve to push an agenda to further curb our civil liberties. How do you even get away with carrying a long gun around in DC? My thoughts go out to the guard and his family.

      Book suggestions?

Patriots by Rawles is usually pretty highly recommended. I liked it. Also, can't leave out 1984.

      NEW AMMO REPORT

Just went and picked up a few boxes myself. They still have ALOT (I counted more 9mm than the OP mentioned). Paid 12.47 for .40 Blazer Brass (180gr) 16.97 for 550 Remington 22LR (36gr HP) I had to wait for them to call someone over to help the in sporting goods section as usual, but when the...

I am a veteran, kind of

I guess you're right. From my perspective, that seems to be the most likely reason why I had formed the opinion I had. Didn't really think of it like that. The term veteran just seems to have a lot of different meanings/interpretations. I like your angle better though. That volunteered part...

I am a veteran, kind of

Yes, whether Randy considers himself a vet or not isn't the issue. Maybe he is unsure about how he feels about it (obviously), but here he's asking what we think. I often wonder about the same issue as Randy. Am I a vet? On paper we're both vets. The 214 proves that. But I think the real issue...
