      Jennings JS-9mm beauty!

My father-in-law asked me to clean his 9mm for him. "No problem," I say. It's a freaking JS-9mm! I told him I wouldn't really feel comfortable even firing the thing, but I would try to get it clean for him. I can't even figure out how to get the slide off. Does anybody have any experience...

Good reason to let adults carry on campus

No kidding! There have been several attempted and successful robberies of IUPUI employees and students on campus lately, too.

Well, I am now unable to reproduce... hopefully.

Just had mine done two weeks ago. All I can say is be sure to wear a jock strap. I was miserable for the first week, then noticed somewhere in my discharge instructions to wear one for extra support. They're not kidding. Wear it. Ball slap, especially all day, will make you MISERABLE! I...

      INFO ON THE HK45

I have carried one for several years. It is as accurate as anything else I have ever shot. After almost 2000 rounds downrange without one malfunction, I would call it reliable. This is also the case with my compact 9. In fairness, most of what I shoot is WWB after I dump my carry rounds...

      What blade do YOU carry?

After losing my second Benchmade in as many years, I bought a similiar style piece of crap from a flea market. Sadly, I have been carrying it for about three years now without losing it.

Ammo at Terre Haute Rural King

No fair! Ours in Frankfort only has 12 gauge and 22!

How to carry on a motorcycle?

I carry my USPs in a Fist #20 IWB on the heritage. It has never moved during transit. Ever.

      Well that's my last 1500

I'm just about ready to be done with the 1500, too. I stopped and peeked at a GSG for $625 (Precision Arms in Columbia City has them on the shelf for $525). Had I not ordered a case of 223 from the Brass Kings, I probably would have left then. What a joke! I did get to thank Fenway for...

      Any H&K fanatics here?

I have carried either a full size 45 or a compact 9 USP daily for about 10 years. Never any malfunction of any kind at the range, no matter what I feed them. EVER. Mine are variant one. Never really cared much for a DAO trigger, but I have friends that like the LEM better than the Glock trigger.

      Hello From Frankfort

Welcome Neighbor! Lifetime Clinton County resident and INGO noob here. Great site, but if you're anything like me, you can kiss your productivity goodbye!

      Hello

Welcome! I'm very new to the board as well. So far, everyone here is very hospitable!

      Shooting with both eyes open

In a SHTF scenario, if your dominant eye were compromised, you would have to use your other eye to aim. Moot point. Regarding driving, if one eye is compromised, stereo (depth perception) is compromised. You can drive, but depth perception is not 100%. Maybe 50%?

      Stupid gun cleaning question..

Yes, it comes right off, like I said, with plenty of lube. I was just saying that the first time you try using a $3.00 can of brake cleaner on a $600 gun and see it turning the slide completely white will scare anyone half to death!

My grandfather's house was burglarized last night

My parents have been through this as well. It sucks. It would be nice if there could be a sticky thread or a registry of some sort that we could use to easily run the SN to make sure what was being sold (assuming they would sell it) had not reported stolen. Any thoughts?

      Stupid gun cleaning question..

Oh, yeah, and it didn't hurt the synthetic parts, but I didn't leave it on for more than a minute or so.

      Stupid gun cleaning question..

Be warned that brake cleaner will work, but the results will scare the crap out of you. I have used it on the slides of my baby eagle and USP. I almost had a heart attack when I saw that it turned them almost white! Plenty of lube later, they were back to great working (and asthetic) order...

      AR magazine storage question

I apologize if this has been covered in a different thread. I just finished building my first AR over the winter and am very much in love with it. That being said, I read somewhere about having to deal with "feed lip creep" on AR magazines, and other problems (mag spring weakening, etc.). I...

I need help getting wife to understand SHTF

"The Happening" is a good recent movie to spark the conversation. The actual circumstances behind the story are a bit far-fetched, but the reactions it portrays are not. Crisis simultaneously brings out the best and worst attributes of humanity. Having a Hollywood interpretation that is easy...

What .45 do you carry and how...

HK USPc in a Fist #20. Fully adjustable cant and the tooling is incredible. It's an open top, but it has never slipped a millimeter, even when I suddenly found myself hanging upside-down. Just make sure to wear an undershirt, because the grip texture on the USP is murder on bare skin!
