My parents live on the outskirts of Detroit. I asked them for one of the ginger ales in the fridge (it was a Vernors). They quickly corrected me and said they only had Vernors, not Ginger Ale. Apparently Ginger Ale is serious business in Michigan.
There was some idiot on Hannity today advocating the repeal of the stand your ground law. So far the law seems to have done exactly as it was intended for. To try and repeal it is disgusting.
From the evidence I have heard so far, it appears to me Zimmerman acted in self defense. In my opinion there is a lot more evidence to be heard. I need more information before I can declare my own verdict either way.
This is why there should be a real set of Boondock Saints. The fact this guy didn't swing from a tree in the first place is disgusting enough, but for him to ever be in a halfway house is worse.
I had not heard she lived in the same building as Axelrod. Wow. Im not a big believer in coincidences either. I wonder how she has profitted from these allegations?

The most disgusting part about the Rev. Wright and Ayers situations is the main stream media barely pays any attention to it, where someone like Ron Paul gets raked across the coals for having some racist content in his news letters that he may or may not have known about.
Well if you have more than one trained opponent, the vast majority of times you are not going to win the altercation period. As far as what you said earlier regarding rear naked chokes, the person applying it most likely did not have it applied properly. And as far as using "brute force"...
I disagree with bjj being useless in a real fight. There are several chokes that transfer very well to "real fights". Bjj also teaches takedowns and takedown defense, which dictates where the fight goes. The principles of balance bjj teaches are also invaluable to any real fight you might get...
I would shoot for a mixture of muay thai, bjj, and some sort of wrestling (freestyle, folkstyle, or greco roman) as all three of these disciplines focus on balance and the proper mindset for a fight. These three seem to be the best way to cover all aspects of a fight as well.
