Well, I figure my superior situational awareness means that I will never get caught in something like this. I will maintain 7M between me and all bad guys and when I present my Colt New Service Fitz special from my Berns-Martin Triple Draw holster into a classic 3/4 Hip position the bad guys will disappear.

I wish I knew exactly what my fight will look like. Then I could only train on the exact skills that were required, rather than seeking out proficiency in several different areas.

Or at the very least I would know when and where to NOT show up. :D

Oh not a correction. Just a statement on the lack of common sense in the general public. No slander or slam intended as not much makes any real sense these days. Just being cynical.....................

Good question for each to ponder, and seek answers and preparedness before the fight comes to them. It would seem prudent then, to acquire as many skills as possible beforehand, as it can be hoped - but certainly never counted on - that one's adversary or enemy will have none.

None, if I use the common sense GOD gave me.

Is this to say that, because you have common sense, you will never need to fight?

Or that, because you have common sense, when you do have to fight you will be able to figure out what to do without having trained for it?

40 miles north of Enterprise, Oregon. *shudder* Talk about a place to be alone with your thoughts. Man that is where the hare and the fox kiss each other good night.

And I will add "calling 9-1-1 skills".

As one who has read a lot of police reports about gunfights, you can add drinking alcohol skills (or meth like my shotgun case). Have yet to encounter a sober gunfight.

Is this to say that, because you have common sense, you will never need to fight?

No, but I do try to do everything in my power to avoid such.

Or that, because you have common sense, when you do have to fight you will be able to figure out what to do without having trained for it?

Fortunately, I have never been put in that position and I hope I never am.
