      CZech 50 or 70 Pistol

I have a 50, no issues with it. Some say trigger or hammer is soft on some. Would not be a primary firearm for me, just a fun to shoot. Mak would be a better CCW IMHO

      S&W Model 36 carry safety

As I recall only the "pre 1900" Single action Colts and similar models (certain new reproductions also) were carried on an empty cylinder. I had a 36 and have a 60 and a 442 and safety is no issue with 5 in the cylinder.

      Won't shoot it

As I recall, these barrels were made by "wrapping" steel or iron rod around a mandrel then "welding" the seams together....Not Damascus as in the knife metal me thinks.

Interesting article - Security contractor in Iraq (& 9mm effectiveness)

My CCW has been a 9mm for a long time. Federal 9BPLE has a good track record, hope I never have to test it, but feel it will be there if needed.

Relatively new to this board, live near Evansville, used to hunt, now just shoot a lot:) Collect 1900 and later firearms and any thing "evil".

Copying an LTCH (License to carry a hangun) redux

I copy mine just for my info, not for reuse if the original is lost. Had a billfold stolen, wroet ISP with the details and had a new license in 4 weeks or so.

      s&w revolver

Model 27/28 is my favorite. N frame, heavy and big, but can eat hot ammo all day
