      Muzzle sweeps

      I agree, I have a friend who is notorious for muzzle sweeping me 2 or 3 times every time he picks up a gun. Any gun is always treated as if it was loaded, even if it's unloaded.

      What would you say is the percentage of "prepared" people in the US?

      I went with less than 5%, just because of the current status of the general population as stated above. I think the statistic is something like 75% of Americans are three paychecks away from bankruptcy. So with that statistic, I think it's safe to say less than 5%.

      I've got to wait 3 more months until my 18th birthday, and I'm getting it as soon as I can. It seems crazy to some people, but I grew up around guns, and can handle them responsibly.

      IS THE .22 RIFLE KING?

      Any .22 rifle is a heck of a lot of fun to shoot. My father started me out on his Marlin model 60 when I was 12 years old. That same rifle is now in my safe, and I shoot it often. You can't beat the price of .22 ammo. $20 and you can shoot all day.
