      Plantings agreed should always be incorporated into a habitat plan, however I would state hinging and creating thicker woods more natural brows are better than both plots and trees....it is a puzzle in order to create awesome habitat and each piece creates a better "picture".

      That is correct...clover is only plot seed for deer that will last years and years with proper care and overseeding when needed.....chicory to a slightly lessor degree as well.

      Our turnips and radishes and other leafy brassica plot is still getting hammered. Brassicas are great for late season but extend into days and even months after season closes depending on other food sources.

      Food plotting is a yearly thing for us and some of the habitat clients and hunting friends I help each year. Some have already touched on the biggest thing and that is the soil test. Don't do one of those cheap crap DIY ones either, get the dirt from a couple spots in the plot and then send it...

      I only use .22 CB Shorts. While I go for head shots if I hit body I know for a fact it destroys the least amount of meat over anything else I've tried (.17, 22LR, Mini mags). I'll grab a .410 but I hate picking shot out of meat so not something I do on the regular.

      Nope...I simply don't think it is needed, we already have quite a few more than needed rounds available for harvesting...no need to include HPRs. I do agree though that we either need to allow them or remove same caliber pistols from being legal. Like I've stated though I view this as inevidable...
