      Loud pipes on motorcycles

Quoted from this thread: "I ride too. My theory is loud pipes are actually LESS SAFE. Why? Because if you're riding you a bike with an open exhaust, many cagers (myself included) will extend you no courtesy whatsoever. Heck, half the time I have no problem blocking, cutting off, tailgating, etc...

      Loud pipes on motorcycles

I like loud pipes....to an EXTENT. If ears are bleeding, then it's too much. There is a level where the bike sounds amazing and can be heard to some extent from a distance within reason, and then there is the 3" straight piped ear drum ringing exhaust that no one should run. Balance between...

      Motorcycle learners permit

As I stated before, ABATE! I told my wife and even other friends who have wanted help in finding bikes and working on them etc, that if they werent riding yet I refuse to help them with ANYTHING motorcycle related unless they take the Abate and get licensed the "right way". Wife, her brother...

Active shooter drills w/ students / actors...

Fake Blood and Blanks: Schools Stage Active Shooter Drills - NBC News Intrigued. Not sure what to think. I think people are unaware it could happen to them in their "safe haven" of a school / work / church. Wife works at a hospital and had a woman attacked at knife point within 20 feet of her...

Trailer shopping tips? 8-10ft utility with ramp and spare.

Buy for MORE than you plan on using it for....trust me. Buddy has a trailer that we def over-bought for and it has come in handy. Hauls motorcycles, but also hauls some stuff we never thought we'd need it for.

      Buying / selling vehicles...

Understandably so. I know I have been burnt on 2-3 bikes personally due to seller's not being TOTALLY honest and forthcoming. It just seems like there is some middle room to make a few bucks. Slinging parts and service isn't generating much side business for me when most guys THINK they can...

      Buying / selling vehicles...

Pricing WOULD reflect title status. For example I could have bought a 2010 sportbike (that is consider high on the sought out list) for around $2200. Book was $9k+ for private party sale. So even if I was in it for $4k, and sold for $5-6k, I'd be happy. Seems like there is money to be...

      Buying / selling vehicles...

So my father-in-law and I are looking to buy / sell (ie flip) cars and probably more specifically motorcycles. The ones we are looking at are theft recoveries etc. My question is this: How does the title status (Clean, salvage, rebuilt, etc) effect resale? I know that a salvage or rebuild...

New Map of Who Honors Indiana

That is such a ******* rule. If I am able to OC even on a motorcycle, then what's different than walking down the street OC? May, glad I don't go to Ohio often, and it's about to get even less...

      New Holster company

Still hesitant to pull the trigger. Kind of the "get what you pay for" idea....local guy makes them custom for about $55-65 and has them same day. CAN'T DECIDE!!!

New Map of Who Honors Indiana

I usually only hit Ohio in the summer months, and it's usualy on a motorcycle. So as long as I keep it OC, no worries? Sweet!

I have spring fever....need more bike pics / talk!! Anyone have any bike trips planned this season? Missed out on a Dragon trip last year due to some in my group's bad planning.
