If there hasn't been someone injured during one of his "training" sessions, then that day isn't far off. And God save anyone who ever try any of those techniques in the real world!
I have at least one gun at arms reach in the master bed and another concealed in a drop ceiling in the lower level as we often watch movies and such downstairs.
I would encourage her to go with a handgun for versatility (home defense/potential future concealed carry). I might suggest a Ruger LCR (light and eliminates the potential of limp wristing) or a Beretta Nano as light, reliable and customizable (they even come in pink now). But she should go to a...
While you wait to consult with an attorney, you might want to consult Indiana's Family Social Services Administration, Adult Protective Services: 1-800-992-6978. They investigate elder abuse, neglect and exploitation -- the later being exactly what you described in your post. Their site also...
I would encourage anyone who thinks they would walk away from a LEO in need to examine their conscience. Helping someone in need is the Golden Rule and is a part of every major faith tradition in the world.
As a licensed private detective I have both been in a position to help LEO's as well as...
223 Gunner, I respectfully point out that assault is a behavior, not a type of firearm. And the rifle you're referring to is marketed as a platform for training purposes as opposed to Beretta's CX4 which is defense appropriate carbine rifle.
FirearmPatriot, anything from Beretta will be...
I'll agree that snubbies generally feel better in the hand than most sub-compact semi autos. But in both cases, I'm willing to compromise for comfort of carry through the summer months. And being weird helps no matter what you carry!
I carry the PX4 Type D (DAO). It's a longer trigger pull for each shot, but with no external safety or decocker, drawing is never a problem and the design eliminates the need to incorporate disengaging the safety into your training.
Mark1911, maybe we'll cross paths downtown someday. actaeon277, thanks for the link -- I'll be sure to check out that thread. Kirk Freeman, glad I'm in good company here -- unless you've been back to visit recently you wouldn't recognize Oak and Dearborn from '95 with all the new...
I'll sometimes carry a .357 Ruger LCR as a BUG. It's very light so recoil is an issue but at five shots it's thin enough to conceal well in almost any weather.
The Beretta Nano would get my vote. Mine reliably feeds anything, field striping is easy and, if you believe the rumors, will be available in .40 this summer/fall.
First, thanks to all of you for the great information (and some entertainment) I've read so far. I'm a native Chicagoan who recently moved to Munster and this site was all I needed to get up to speed on Indiana law and carry issues. I look forward to learning from and contributing to INGO.
