270, 308, 30-06, and 300wcm are all great rounds. Most ammo can be found at stores, and will all kill anything in north america. Its really a preference from that point.

Honestly, I love the 26. I have a 27 as well and it can be kinda snappy with the recoil. Other than that, the xds ( low count 6 I think) is a good 2nd choice
I would stay away from the .22 sig. Its got some reliablilty issues. You can get her a pink lady, or any revolver with a pink grip if you wanted.
