      i have a1962 snowbird pelican 227 like this. it throws heavy snow 20+ feet. i had to mod the tires on mine with some chains for more traction. if i was going to buy a new one it would definitely be a honda.

      i have been using a pair of danner hunting boots for the last 26 years and i think they have a few years left. i had to replace the laces a couple times and put lots of coats of mink oil and camp dry on them over the years. best money i ever spent.

      i have its twin. its in the box with cleaning kit and screw driver. my dad bought it in 1974 for $164.00 plus another $1.25 for a trigger shoe. i use mine at least once a year for deer hunting. when i get time ill take pics of it and the new in the box model 17-3 he bought the same day.

      not sure how the quad rail works but the lower hand guard retainer in the pic can be fixed if you can weld or be replaced in 10 minutes as long as the flash suppressor isnt pinned or welded on.
