At some point, logic and reason reaches all of the people that it's going to. At that point, if the remaining people feel shamed, there's nothing to be done about it.
Why not? It's the free marketplace of ideas. You put who you are out there on the market, and others decide what they think of it.
As for what it solves? Nothing for me. But if it helps someone else, and doesn't hurt anyone, then I see no reason to oppose it.

That's not necessarily a bad business decision for them, though. We're a divided nation; understanding those divisions and using them to build customer loyalty is just smart business.
