      Where to buy clips?

I purchased a box of 40 for the Swedish Mauser here, scroll down past the cleaning rods. They work well on my sporterized '03 Sringfield, and the price is great.

anyone have a lead on a xdm?

My EDC is an XDm Compact in 9mm. I could not be happier with it, carry IWB using an N82 holster.

Looking for a nice, easily concealed 9mm.

My EDC is my XDm Compact in 9mm. Capacity is 14 (13 +1) with the compact mag and 20 (19+1) with the extended mag. I carry it in the Professional from N82Tactical.

Poll: What 12 gauge round for home defense

I replied "Other...". For me, it's either my sidearm or my AR. My pistol is either on me, or within reach. If I have time, I'll get my AR. If I were to use a shotgun, it would be loaded with buskshot.

Extended Slide Stop On Your 1911?

I (almost) never use the slide lock to release the slide. I either swap mags before I empty the mag, or I rack the slide when I do shoot the pistol empty.

Help a Fat Guy w/ IWB holster

I use an IWB holster for my XDm Compact from N82 Tactical, their Professional model. Here is link to their site, it shows what they have for Colt 1911 pistols. It rides at about 2 o'clock on my belt and does not print. I don't forget that it's there, but it is not uncomfortable and I wear it...

      Chicago Typewriter

I have one of the AO 1927a1 versions (made by Kahr) with the detachable stock. It came with the 50 round drum and is a lot of fun at the range. Here are a couple photos.

      Identify my old sword. HELP!

I've witnessed similar swords used in some of the York Rite degree work as well as some of the Scottish Rite degrees. The swords for this type of use seldom have any Masonic markings to speak of. The same can be said for the degree work of the KoP. I have no personal knowledge of the KoC, so...

Patriot Supply in Muncie, free Life Straws.

I work near by and decided to stop on my way home. They have a fairly large show room, with a good sellection. Their seed area is fairly large and well designed. They have a decent sellection of camping/bug out gear. I didn't have a lot of time this evening and could not stay long, I plan...

      Identify my old sword. HELP!

I suspect that this sword was used either on stage or by one of the fraternal organizations (Masons, KoP, KoC, etc) in their degree work. It does not look like it was intended for combat.

      Good 1911 shoulder holster?

I carry my Colt 1911 (S 70 Gov, '70s vintage) in a Miami Classic. The twin mag pouch on the off side balances the pistol well enough that I don't need the tie downs. I've worn this rig for over 12 hours at a time and find it to be comfortable. Also, the position of the pistol does not shift...

I wanna try SAA. Tell me about the Uberti Cattleman

Spinning the cylinder, as done in the movies, is not a good idea. It is rough on the internal parts. The easy way to end up with an empty chamber under tha hammer when loading is the following proceedure. Bring the hammer back to the loading position, open the loading gate, load the first...

      My first .22?

Would you like the option to feed your rifle short, long, and long rifle ammo? If so, Marlin makes (or made, not sure if it's still in production) a nice tube fed bolt action. The Henry would also allow this flexibility. If not, get the Model 60. I cast my vote for the Model 60. It...

Here is a recent shot of my Stag M2, with MagPul furntiture. Also in the shot is my XDm Compact 9mm.

      Stag Arms AR advice

I'll join in and say get the Stag. I've had mine for just over a year and have no complaints. Here are a couple of photos, the first is as it came and the second is as it is currently configured. Also in the second shot is my XDm Compact 9mm,

Looking for opinions on the Gerber Covert Auto.

Thanks for the feedback, all of you. The serrations are the only thing I would change about this knife. It would be great if Gerber offered it without them. If I could get the same basic design (sans serrations) from another maker, I would consider it instead of the Gerber. Thanks again.

Looking for opinions on the Gerber Covert Auto.

I've been doing a bit of research on auto knives. The one I've just about decided on is the Gerber Covert Auto. Do any of you have any experiance with this knife? Here is a link to the Gerber page about the knife. Thanks.
