      Build: Jolly AR-15

Looks like a fun project. IMO this is where it really pays off to spend a few extra dollars as when a part fails, it is usually here. Spikes has a pretty darn good one as does BCM. I like the chrome or nickel boron coatings as they are a lot easier to clean and are more tolerant to being...

      Bushmaster for $649.00 seems good

I have this rifle, got it from Bradis earlier this year. It is $650, but remember that this includes a Bushnell micro red dot that is worth around $100, so you are effectively paying $550 for a pretty decent rifle. I will link at the bottom to the review I did on mine. Overall I have been...

      decisions, decisions/opinions, opinions!

If you are really needing ultra concealment, then go for the KelTec or LCP cousins. Honestly, I can conceal my 1911 Ultra Carry about as easily as my Taurus 85, even though the 85 is lighter. That being said, neither the 85 or the 1911 will work as a pocket gun IMO.

+1 for the Taurus 85. I have one that I have been shooting Federal .38 +P+ from with zero issues. It has very good balance for such a light revolver.

Saw my first complete composite AR-15 lower today

Just checked the link, do they have a forward assist? I honestly do not care as the need for it is highly debateable, I am just curious as to how similar this is to my Carbon 15 which does have it.

Saw my first complete composite AR-15 lower today

I have been really happy with the new design Carbon 15 setup. The advantages of polymers on pistols seems to be now mostly settled, not sure why it has not taken off more with the AR platform. So long as it a good design with quality materials, polymer works well.

      Bushmaster at Cabelas

You can read the review that I did on mine here. Overall I have been very pleased with it and enjoy the very light weight, it is several lbs lighter than a standard aluminum carbine. I have not had even a single malfunction and have 500+ rounds of a mix of 5.56 and .223 ranging from high...

What do you all think about PINK guns?

My friend who is a cop uses a pink Charter Arms as a BUG and also has pink handcuffs. She loves to hook up the drunks with the pink cuffs

Looking at the S&W Pro Series 1911

The S&W is of course a fine gun. That being said, I have had the Kimber Ultra Crimson Carry for several years and love it. Both are going to do fine, just go with your gut and get the one you want.

      Keeping Rounds in the Magazine

Most experts agree that a quality magazine will suffer no ill effects to being stored loaded. All Experts agree that an unloaded magazine is completely worthless if you happen to need it in a hurry.

Back in stock at the Fishers store. They had about 30 boxes sitting on a table in the aisle over by the rest of their ammo.
