Well I finally took the dive and re-dig my WASR-10/63.

The "whore" use to look like this:

Bought some TAPCO parts in Darth Earth color and now she is a "mid-class whore" that looks like this:

New parts are the following:

AK Brake Slot
AK INTRAFUSE AK Handguard
AK Stock Pistol Grip SAW Style
AK Stock T6 (Collapsible)

also added a retaining plate that looks like this:

Now I'm FOR SURE 922(r) complaint even when I don't have a magazine in the weapon! Since I know have 7 out of 16 parts (need at least 6 made in USA to be ok) on the weapon made in the USA not counting the mags! So I can use whatever mags I want now.

Here's my Bulgy; I like it but I can't get over that it doesn't have a chrome lined barrel and I shoot milsurp almost exclusively. I know, I know... I clean it with water after each session, the bore is immaculate, but there's a tiny voice in my head...

I hear ya. I recently sold my Bulgarian an Arsenal. Very sexy rifle though.

Polytech AKS Type 56 w/ spiker. Finally got to shoot it last week. All I can say is WOW. Zero AKs can compare to the trigger on these. I was impressively surprised and it is definitely a keeper :ingo:

Is this the same one you had listed for trade a while back? The only reason I ask is it took some serious will power not to pick it up, but I had to tell myself I only needed 1 spiker. Mine completely changed the way I look at AK's. Hopefully I'll run across a deal on a Legend someday.

Yep, same one. I too have been looking @ the Legends. I can't seem to justify spending over $2000 on one. I might try to pick up a MAK-90 or Norinco 56S, but the Norincos do not stack up to the Polytechs. I had a NHM-91 and got rid of it.

Same boat. That's a lot of cash to drop on an AK. I got a deal on my AKS though, so who knows. Maybe I'll get lucky with a Legend too. Glad to see you kept that Spiker, since you don't see them that often.

Finally started working on my Draco conversion to an AimR clone a couple of weeks ago. Ive had the extended brake on it for a while, so I had the correct stock installed by Turbothis last week. Got it back yesterday and threw some paint on it really quick to cover up the bare metal. I'll SBR it after Im sure that I like it.
