I just shot the G22 I traded for and all I can say is wow! That .40 has some snap but man is it powerful. I've had a .45 1911 for a long time and it's awesome but man I am just impressed I guess. All my Glocks up to this point have been 9mm, this is different for sure. And I like it.
Congrats on your new toy! I felt the same when I first fired a .40. I'm more of a 9 guy myself and it really made it seem like a cap gun!

I actually like the G22, feels good in my hands and it hits dead on! Surprised me.
Well the round leaves the barrel far before you feel recoil or the pistol begins to cycle. The all steel .40 might seem easier because of less felt recoil, but its really shooter technique... if anything it really only affects the follow up shot.

i like the .45acp, but the .40 had too much muzzle flip for me, so i sold my 23 and replaced it with a Gen 4 17. I've never looked back.
