Had to look and see where you were at. There's a similar couple that hang at the Meijer on the south side of Mishawaka asking everyone they encounter for money to get to Indy. They will even hit you up inside the store while you're shopping. They've been there since before Thanksgiving and apparently haven't made enough money to get home yet.

the one time I ever believed a panhandler was when they offered to give me any of their possessions they had with them for enough gas money to get home. I still didn't give in, but my female friend got all emotional and gave them money.

So when do the personal insults get someone banned?

When they're purposefully directed at someone? Speaking generally about behavior, doesn't meet the criteria I think. If you outright call someone an assclown, you'll probably be banned. If you speak in more clandestine language (as I have seen recently using that exact term), you might get away with it.
