The problem is all the fighting and destruction is going on in Ukraine. The Russian people may not want to be in this war but it is not having the same effect on them as it is the Ukrainians.
Maybe if Ukraine had some long range weaponry and started attacking cities in the Russian homeland people there might want to put a stop to Putin.

Wasn’t anger, it was a calculated decision that the deaths of a couple hundred thousand people from a country which attacked us might lead to a quicker cessation of hostilities and less overall casualties than a land invasion with upwards of a million casualties just on the American side. Likely higher numbers for the Japanese in the latter scenario. There are a lot of people alive today since their fathers survived to procreate because they didn’t have to invade those home islands.

No one has even tried to take Putin out, except by election.....which is about as good as our election system these days. Putin seems to have a record of doing the opposite of what he says.
