Our country is on the road to a command economy and centrally planned day to day life. All I hope to do by voting for Romney is trade the race car for a station wagon.

Realistically THAT isn't an option. While it is far from perfect, and is coming apart at the seams it is still better than anywhere else IMO. Where would you go if you "got off the road"?

My belief is we will end up with Chinese style capitalism.

i believe we will get off the road. i think things will explode. i even have some liberal friends who are starting to talk about the government being too big and too involved. i expect a push back.

Wow... as attractive and consistent with our founding principles and that for which our family shed its blood may sound, I would rather move for secession.

If I had to leave I'd go to Switzerland.

I still have faith in America. People who did'nt notice or care would realize the differences and make a change and not allow it too happen. I refuse to believe we have a clueless society that will just give up.

I find it Ironic that as great as our founding principles are, Some of the people who advocated for them and created them kept slaves.

Different place and different time. 200 years form now something we do now will be looked at with equal disdain as we look at slavery.

That is why IMO passing judgement on people that lived long ago is sometimes wrong. If you/me had been brought up in a society where owning slaves was the norm we would feel the same. Hindsight is always 20/20.

The Tea Party I see as basically Libertarians, who are forcing the Republican party to accept a more Conservative view. I think it has worked on Romney.
So who is the Tea Party going to vote for if/when it's Obama vs Romney??? Seems to me now that the Republican primary winner is almost a given, Mitt can be less "giving" to the Tea Party.

I dont care for being on this road even if Romney/Republicans are driving...

And where we "end up" ultimately will be Liberty...Democracy...Socialism...Fascism...Totalitarionism.

And risked their lives, all they had, and all they might ever have for the cause of Liberty... which I will venture is more than you would ever do.

    Wake up, friend.

That's what I like about you ram, you can take jab or two in the way it was intended.

As I've stated before, you and I disagree on many things but you always remain civil with a sense of humor. :yesway:
I was serious about the playground equipment. :):

    Now where were we? :D
