Agreed 100% slow1911, JP has definatly shown me a light carrier has its bonuses, and you right about lock time.

I mostly posted the chart to point out that all ar15 s are not created equal.

Going through the latest issue of Gun Buyer mag. There are so many different AR-15 clones out there. Some I've never ever heard of. Which ones have good reps and which ones are just junk? Which manufacturers are exceptional and which ones are average?

    Alexander Arms
    American Spirit Arms
    Armalite
    BCM
    Bushmaster
    Charles Daly
    Colt
    CMMG
    Daniel Defense
    Del-Ton
    DPMS
    DAX
    Knight's Armament
    Les Baer
    LMT
    Next Generation Arms
    Noveske
    Para USA
    RRA
    Ruger SR-556
    Sabre Defense
    S&W
    Spike's Tactical
    STAG
    Wilson Combat

The red ones are what I consider the better out of the bunch, the blue ones are ok or lacking in some areas.

Next Generation arms is good, but comes with a lot of A.R.M.S stuff. Not a fan.

i'd put Colt up with DD and Noveske.....they are THE standard after all. for half a century.

does RR do what the other top tier manufacturers do, such MPIs and HPTs on every rifle?

i might also add Sabre Defense and FN to the list.

Yeah I suppose my father rolled over in his grave when I posted this... he was a Marine :rockwoot:

I suppose I need more experience with "The Colt AR"... if any one wants to blast my Noveske in trade for letting me massage the trigger of their Colt a little bit let me know :)

LaRue needs in here too if no one has mentioned them yet :twocents:
