and asked me in detail what she needed to do to carry legally. I would never have had that conversation if I wasn't open carrying. :D

I hope you pointed her to INGO and the Indiana Codes. I'd hate to think she's gonna blindly follow what a stranger told her.
Not saying you'd tell a lie.
I'm just saying I like it on here when someone quotes the code, highlights sections. And I can go to the IC myself to verify.
I guess I'm just not trusting.

I directed her go to the Speedway Police station and apply for a conceal carry permit. For everything past that she was a grown ass lady and I have to assume she'll figure it all out.

Seen my neighbor on Hohman Ave in Munster OC on saturday nights, seen a man walking on 173rd street in Hammond, seen a young man on a motorcycle at the Phillips gas station on Ridge Road in Munster. I've seen OC at Target in Munster, Menards in Hammond, Schoops in Munster, Cig store in Munster, Liquor store Ridge and Hohman, and Stracks in Munster. I have seen it alot. I always OC around Hohman and Ridge in Munster. I have only been asked twice in about 5 years of carrying. Once a Police officer asked if I expected trouble, I said not as long as I have a gun with me, he laughed and we talked about guns for several minutes. The second time a lady stopped her car and said "my husband sees you carrying all the time and he told me you can get into alot of trouble for showing your gun in public" we had a nice chat and I informed her I was legal and she went home to inform her husband that he was mistaken.

I'm building a home for a nice couple in New Palestine. Went by there today to give the carpenter some instructions, and my customer's father was there. He was OC'ing on his belt @ 2:00. I said to him; "Always great to see somebody exercising their 2A rights". He said "I've been carrying this weapon since the day I got back from Vietnam, & I'll carry it until the day I die." I just said "God bless you, and thanks for your service!"

I went to BC Osaka with my copy buddy and he was obviously CCing his pocket gun, but we bumped into several plain clothes cops who were open carrying. We knew they were cops because I spotted their car outside and it has all the equipment inside in a cop car. They didn't have badges out, but walking around open carrying like that, no one seems to pay them any mind. People were paying attention to the army guys who were having lunch than the cops

This happened last Thursday before the big storm hit. I was at Kroger at US24 & I69 in Ft Wayne. On my way into the store I spotted a lady OC'ing while putting her groceries into her vehicle. I commented to her that it was great to see someone open carrying. She responded, thank you. It first time I had contact with someone OC'ing in public.

I've been seeing a lot more OC lately in Plymouth, and it's great! Saw a young guy (around 25) Sunday night at Walmart in Plymouth OCing a Glock in a Serpa holster. I asked if he was an INGO member, and he said he had been on here a couple times but never registered.

Then today, I went to the bank to cash in some coins. I saw a guy (maybe 60 years old) pull up on a bright yellow Goldwing Trike. He walked into the bank OCing a M&P in a Serpa. I asked him if he was an INGO member, and he said he had never heard about it. He said he would definitely come check us out.

    +1 for OCers. :rockwoot:

I saw a bunch of people OCing yesterday. I tried to get them to cover up but they refused. I think they were just trying to look cool and get attention.

Other than on guys/gals with badges, I've only seen OC once in my life (I'm 38). No, it wasn't today. It was probably 5 years ago, saw a guy going into a Waffle House near what is now the Horseshoe Casino near Louisville. Because I don't see OC, I choose not to OC here in Terrible Haute. Hmm, maybe I could start a new trend. :) Except for the fact I only have a compact, which would look kind of silly OC.

Saw OC just a minute ago. Fist time in a long time. A guy about my age (25) or so walked into my shop with a 1911 in an OD green drop leg holster. He seemed a bit nervous so I didnt say anything to draw attention to him.

He bought oil and an oil filter for a 2000 Kawasaki ZX-6R.

If you are an INGOer please post up and thank you for your business!

If not Thanks for your business anyway, and next time Ill tell him about INGO.
