Normally I don't post in here because I OC everyday and you guys would get tired of me :D but I thought this was funny.

I was walking in Meyers (You mean Meijer) in Portage today and had a lady that works there run up to me and ask me.

Her. (Should be a semicolon) Who are you. (Needs a question mark)

Me. (Again) What do you mean. (Same thing. This is a question, not a statement.)

Her. (Again) Are you security. (Again)

Me. (And so on, down the line) No

    Her. You have a gun.

Me. I'm license to carry. (No. You are licensed to carry. Conjugate your verbs.)

Her. You are scarring me. (Scarring? Did you cut her? You mean scaring, right?)

Me. Do you always run up and question the thing that you are scarred (Scared) of (Needs comma) or are you just curious about it?
At this point she is just looking at me like a deer in the headlights. I told her to have a great day and I went on my way to shop.

    You are awarded no points.

It should actually be a colon, not a semicolon, and you failed to notice missing commas at the end and beginning. You are awarded no points.

Look! Kirk, Spock and McCoy OC! They even have their weapons in their hands.

This is true, but Ensign Ricky is the only one who is openly carrying something that is immediately identifiable as a weapon, thus making him an obvious target and the first one killed!! :runaway: :runaway: :runaway:

    ...

    Her: You have a gun.

    Me: I'm licensed to carry.

    Her: You are scaring me.

Me: Do you always run up and question the thing that you are scarred of or are you just curious about it?

Well played..! I bet you could almost see the rusty gears in her dim little head start to creakily turn as she realized what she just did.
If I see something that truly scares me/can harm me (a poisonous snake, a rabid animal, etc.), as a general rule I DON'T go sticking my face in it's business and tell it, "You're scaring me!" :drama:  Rather, the logical reaction is usually more like this... :wrongdoor: or this :scared:.

Thanks to this and other threads, I have prepped myself to respond in the following manner when I am doing nothing to intentionally influence them and someone spouts off with, "You are making me :blahblah:... (insert irrational emotional state here  )!"

    "

. You are the one CHOOSING to feel that way. I have absolutely no part in controlling your irrational feelings/the emotional state that *you(!!)* CHOOSE to feel due to (my sidearm/whatever hair is up their backside...)."

OCed all over Holland, MI Friday and Saturday while visiting relatives. Didn't have any problems. We went out for lunch at Culver's with my sister in-law and her kids before we left. There we were, 3 adults and 6 kids eating our delicious Butter burgers, and some guy approaches our table.

Him: Excuse me, can I ask you a question?
    Me: Sure

Him: How is it that you can carry exposed like that. (he asked this in a very confrontational way)
Me: (Suppressing my smart-alek side) In Michigan you can carry openly without any type of license.

Him: I didn't think you could carry exposed.
Me: The Michigan CPL gives you permission to carry concealed, but you need no such permission to carry openly.

His demeanor changed and we had a pleasant conversation. Turns out he is a retired Sheriff's Deputy from Indiana who relocated to Michigan a few years ago. He said he would check out the law because he has a revolver that he would like to carry but he didn't want to pay the fees for the Michigan CPL.

So, an Indiana resident was able to educate an Indiana LEO, living in Michigan on Michigan laws regarding OC.

Well done! I tried to rep you, but this damn socialistic rep system wouldn't let me.

Just left the dog park on Averitt and Stop 18. As we were leaving a cop car drove in and parked across a few parking spots near our car.

Not sure if he was there for a MWG call, or what...

Columbus Sams Club today. Guy was carrying a revolver on his hip...didn't look law enforcement...

Also saw some guy last weekend carrying openly at the Joe Willy's in Columbus...but he looked like he 'could' be law enforcement...but he had nothing indicating he was.

Was OC at BP (east Indy) today. Filling a fountain drink. A black guy comes up & says, "MAN, that a 4-5, aint it?" (Colt 1911) I reply, "Yes". He then says, "You aint f**kin around!"

I, with the most stern ("You are a Dumba$$") look on my face, said "Really? Have a good day". I then turned (shaking my head) & went to the register.

Downtown Noblesville. I covered it up when I went to Castleton Square Mall. It's the first time I ever noticed their "no guns" sign on the door.

Saw a car yesterday in front of me with an Infowars sticker, a "9/11 was an inside job" sticker, a Ron Paul sticker, and "Flouride is poison" sticker. I resisted shooting the tires out as I passed them.

Went to Hibachi Grill in Greenwood, Subway, and Starbucks.

Co-worker stopped me on the way out of work to ask me about firearms. Said he went shooting recently and is trying to pick one out after seeing his entire neighborhood watch carrying at the last meeting they had.
