I always borrowed my brother's remington wingmaster growing up or my dad's browning. The first one I bought for myself was a Verona 505 Sporting O/U 12ga (made by I Rizzini) and I absolutely love it.

New England Firearms 12ga. Still got it. I got it for Christmas when I was 10. Shot it so much my shoulder stayed purple and my pops had to get me a slip over recoil pad!

Remington 870 Police - pretty beat up when I got it. Stripped the wood, refinished with tung oil, cleaned up the reciever/barrel and went the matte black Duracoat route. For $225 and several enjoyable afternoons, it's a sweet weapon !

Mossberg 500 12ga with adjustable choke.Still have it to this day. Not extremely accurate and does not do well shooting trap, but I intend to keep it. Has a few good memories.

SKB M-7300 20 gauge pump. Came with a slug barrel and a field barrel. My Dad gave it to me for my 11th birthday and I am 44 now. I have taken a truckload of deer, squirrels and rabbits with it over the years. I still hunt with it occasionally.

My first shotgun was a single shot 20 gauge with the break lever on the side of the receiver. I can't remember right now for sure but I think it was a Springfield / Savage. It's bugging me that I can't remember so I'll have to dig it out and refresh my memory. I still have it in the safe but haven't shot it in years. I cleaned and lubed it couple years back and it was just fine.

I think I was younger than 18 when I bought it, but I didn't have my parents with me so maybe I was 18. If I was 18 that would have been 1974 or 1975. I graduated from high school in 1974, and I think I had it already by then. Paid around $40 for it brand new.

Grew up sharing a 20 ga. Mossberg 500 with my brothers, along with some off brand, low dollar single shots. First one that was truly mine was a 12 ga. Rem 870 Express at Christmas when I was 16. Still prefer the Mossberg
