S&W 422 when I was about 5 years old. I can remember hitting a steel squirrel from maybe 10 yards 4 times out of the 10 round mag and being very pleased with myself.

I can't honestly exactly what it was but I remember small details. It was a shotgun, a Browning auto I believe, when I was 9-10? The first weapon I shot all on my own was a Marlin model 60.

A 12ga when I was 24. My husband just kept telling me not to let go of it. Nearly knocked me on my butt but then everything else seemed like no big deal to shoot. It was a good introduction.

I was 5, gun was a single shot 12ga of some sort.

It hurt, but I giggled when the birdshot hit a glass bottle that my Grandfather set on the birm at his farm. I ended up firing a whole box of shells and had a bruised shoulder for a week, but I also wore a **** eaten grin too!

not really a "real gun" but a Red Ryder that I got for my 9th birthday.

first gun that used powder and not air would be my 10/22.

first handgun would be a 1911 chambered in .22 (then the same gun in 9mm and finally .45 at my NRA basic handgun course)

first "big gun": friend's Mosin Nagant.

Some type of manual pump pellet pistol. First firearm was dad's Marlin 39A with 4x scope. The same rifle I'm using to take out tree rats this year.
