a 2x2 sheet of galvanized steel consistantly, where you could see the little indentations all in an area less than a foot in diameter, @ around 200 yards. Both with a 4x scoped remington 597, and an old mossberg bolt action with peep sights. It was actually easy once we figured out the drop.

Earlier this year I finished turning a Sako Quad into a trainer. It has 5 or so bricks of Wolf Match Target through it now and I can regularly hit a 12"x12" steel at 177 meters, with a can mounted.

Much past that and the groups open up, mostly due to my wind calling abilities. I have a 16"x16" at 200 meters and it is much tougher.

550 yards on a 55gallon oil drum. Took the better part of a hour and a good 50-70 shots. Point of aim was approximately 70-80 feet high, windage varied from 10-30 feet. Very fun and that BS about a 22lr going for miles, well ill just say that at 550 the bullet hit the drum, landed right on the ground in a perfect mushroom. A lead mark was all that was left on the drum, paint wasn't even scratched. Overall it was great fun doing it, I want to try for 750 but the few 650 yard shots I took did not allow you to see were bullets were impacting so I gave up. :D Gun was a Savage Mark II 22lr. As for pictures and proof and all that, dont have any and to be honest a single hit out of a whole day, I still think it was accidental I even hit the darn thing.

100 yds scoped marlin model 60. Best group right at 1" (eight shot) Second best group 1.63" (16 shot) with wolf match target. I'd like to get out farther but my range maxes at 100. My buddy has property but when I go there I take the big boy guns. I bet the trajectory looks like a rainbow at 200 but I'd like to shoot some that far.

A blackbird at 175-200 yards back in North Dakota. It was on a cornstalk with a sand berm about 15 ft. behind it so adjusting for windage/elevation was easy as each shot could be seen impacting through the scope. I was able to drop round # 5 or 6 into him and flip him off his perch. Probably could never do it again. Even with the rounds being subsonic at that range, they usually won't sit there and let you dial in on them like that.

I hit a shotgun shell from 100 yards, standing, using a Marlin model 60 with Tasco 3-9x32mm scope set to 5x power, shooting standard Federal 40gr. LRN. I will admit I hit it on the third try.

Best shot ever was a "Hail Mary" shot at a chipmunk crouched behind a leaf, from 65-75 yards with a 550fps .177 pellet rifle with a 4x scope. Wind was blowing fairly strong so I aimed 2 inches left an 6 inches high to make up for drift and drop. Dropped him on the spot.

It was "Bloody Sunday" Making kills from 10 to 110 yards. Head shots on turtles on a bank that was 109 yards away. Scoped 10/22's and a Marlin 39a. MKII's for close in work.

Two shooters and my Daughter, then 10 years old, was an additional spoter for us. We were removing turtles from a pond that was over run by them. When it was all over with my daughter made the comment that now she had seen an actual kill.

So true. About 200 to be exact. Half were 70 yards and out.

Balls off a mosquito at 613 yards in a 15 mph crosswind with a 39A....

well in all seriousness, 1-2" groups at 100 yards with a 6X scope. But more excitedly, I hit 4-5" groups with a Hi-Point 995 at 50 yards from a rest. That was cool!

Target hit: 5 out of 5 quarter sized targets spaced equally across a 10" ring

    Distance: 100 yards

    Rifle: Savage MKII Target .22LR

    Optics: BSA Sweet.22 3-9x40

Ammo: Aguilla 36 grain "match grade" ammo

I've also placed several nice 4-5" groupings at 175 yards on paper with the same rifle.

At 200yrds I can hold 3" groups using a remington 597 and cci mini mags, that was on a bench. Took awhile but shooting at turtles in a pond that is 417-430 yards across, depending on water level, I hit some turtles somewhere around halfway across. My experience shows the 597 is more accurate than the 10/22 but the ruger has a lot more accessories
