I got my Baby Desert Eagle for 400 at the last 1500. A little cheaper than what they go for off Gunbroker and I didn't pay shipping or ffl fees.

I got back into guns right when the Springfield XD's came out (Not the HS2000).

I also worked at Wal-mart while in college.

Short and simple, I bought a really cheap discounted savage 300 winmag for $125 bucks. I used another $100 of my own money and traded the Savage for a NIB XD Sub-compact 9mm.

    $225 for a NIB XD......not bad.

The best deal that I have gotten would be between a blued HK P7M10 for $710 (Florida gunshop) and a Larry Vickers Springer 1911 for $800 (estate auction), both given to family members.

I've had a few good buys over the years. Got an unissued Yugo 59/66 SKS for $55 a couple of years ago. Also bought my Mosin 91/30 then too for $64. Those were the days.

in the last couple of years I bought my Beretta M9 for $510 new. Got myself a NIB XDm 40 last year on another forum for a total of $505 including shipping and FFL fees. Bought a Mossberg 500 persuader with 2 stocks, pistol grip fore end assembly, rail and a red dot for $210 total including shipping and FFL fees. My latest buy should be here tomorrow or Thursday and that will be a Taurus 608 revolver with a 6.5" barrel for $350 total I am getting from a member on another forum.

Tell me how you like that Taurus I am tempted to get one of them or a Dan Wesson Model 15 as my next purchase.

I picked up a brand new Remington R15 VTR at Dick's Sporting Goods. It was originally $1199. It was discounted to $999 and then I received several discounts, including one for applying for a Dick's credit card. When it was all said and done, I paid just over $800 bucks for it. Then, a month or so later, I received another $50 bucks in Dick's shopping cards. This was in late December, well after Obamination.

I had never seen an R15 at a Dick's store before or since. Mine was the only one they had received, and the manager said he didn't expect to see another, either.

I thought that was a great deal, and I believe I saw that same gun in the rack in the Avon Dick's for $899. My advise is keep your receipt with you for 30 days, because if you see it cheaper at any Dick's, they'll honor it and just keep crediting your CC. All the Dick's are carrying the R15's now, with the .308 counterpart.

I bought an 1187 Cantilever 20 guage last spring, original price was $699, and by the time I kept catching them changing the price with spifs and markdowns, I paid $499. A really good deal since most distributor pricing to gun dealers for 2009 Remington pricing is around $650.

If you hit the different Dick's, you can snag some great long gun deals.

I traded a chainsaw that I had $400 in on a colt 1911 that didn't look like it had seen more than 1 mag!

Not a Gun, but... I traded a chainsaw that I had $450 in on 1600 rounds of 45. I thought it was an OK deal until I found out that almost half of them were Golden Sabers, and another 200 were hydra shoks. There is no way I will ever use that much carry ammo!!!

    Best deal I missed!

:dunno: Well I did get a Marlin mod 60 for $65 older model with less plastic parts and stamped squirrels on it. Not a spectacular deal at an Auction but I got what I came for. But I was kicking myself in the a$$ and crying all the way home when I saw a winchester 1897 pump in good shape go for just over $100. Didn't bid on it because I figure it would go high..then couldn't jump in to get it! Probably could have more than doubled my money selling it at a cowboy match. Also saw a low serial # luger go for about $250, not a luger expert but it was just a 4 or 5 digit serial # could have maybe been from ww1 or 2. Another luger there had a serial # like XX-XXXX or somthing like that it went for about $175. just plain didn't have the $ that time!

I bought a Marlin model 39A in 99.9% condition at a gun show for $200. Guy passed away, and his wife sold it...... I told her it was worth more thatn that, but she said said $200. I gave her $250 anyway, and left.......

My best was a norinco ak 223 with 5 steel mag 1\2 case ammo for 300. My buddy had a baby with no insurance to proud to let uncle sam pay for it .I sold it back to him a few years later for what I paid him . He brought it back last fall said he need ed money same price but he shot 2 boxes of ammo out of it . couldn't get money out fast enough.
