What did everyone get at the 1500??

Four position stock. Not bad for $30! They had DPMS for $35 and I REALLY wanted one to keep with the DPMS kit and lower, but it's all good. Now I can get it together at least!

I met board member, Britton and his lovely wife on Friday and after engaging in fierce, protracted negotiations, I purchased a Golani .223 rifle (Galil clone) from him.
It was my first 1500 and I enjoyed myself and although I would have liked to have bought much more, I controlled myself.

Oh man, I saw those...didn't know it was a board member either.

Man, I've been wanting one of those...

Picked up 200rd 308 battle-pack (Privi Partizan boxer primed so I can reload), 500rd 22LR for a Henry U.S. Survival rifle I picked up from AAC there ( had been looking for one for my backpack and the only one I had seen locally was at Don's for way way too much), Lee dies for 308, 9mm, and 7.62 Tokarev. Been looking for a shoulder holster and bought one of those holster T-shirts (it will carry a full size and 3 magazines), a Hume IWB for a 92FS. Seemed like there was more there than the last time I went. I almost got seduced by a Winchester 94 in 30-30 but resisted.

All in all, I didn't need to spend the money but it was fun.

I went today, first timer. There was alot of really cool stuff there and I loved getting to handle all the handguns at Midway's booth.

Only bought a few things
-Ammo can (9mm ball, OD green): $6
-Kangaroo Jerkey: $5
-Weaver rail for my 10/22 $10
-500 rounds blazer .22 ammo $18
-Parking $3
-Admission $9
-getting to fondle hundred of handguns... Priceless


I was really tempted to buy an AR-15 that I saw for $689, but I think my girlfriend would shoot me if I brought home more guns right now. My next task will be convincing her that I "need" a 1911 in .45.

Went today with my brother. First time I have ever seen him go and not buy something. I had Meprolight night sights put on my G19. I really like the yellow/green/yellow configuration, looks nice.

Also picked up a new pocket knife.

There was a guy outside of the 1500 with a Zestava AK underfolder for $450. I was tempted and I thought that was a good price but then I wouldn't have any money to go inside with. It looked new.

I bought 2 California Competition shell carriers, that I could have went to the dealers house an bought any time I wanted, meh.........

I did not see I decent deal in the whole place.

I did get to talk to my favorite instructor for a bit.

I met jontheturboguy and traded for an AR. I also hooked up with MACHINEGUN, and had a good time talking old corps. Bought some mags and ammo for my new to me AR. Went to the Raven booth looking for INGO people found a nice holser for the MP40c but had to get a card because I was all out of money. I spent about 4 hours there hanging out with my son and MACHINEGUN and had a geat time. Oh yea if you don't know it MACHINEGUN is a glock nut and a pretty big dude. I wouldn't make him angry on these boards . Just kidding he is great guy and I would have no problems doing business with. The same for jontheturboguy.

I grabbed a pretty cool green/gray/brown stripped Predator pistol grip dropdown stock for my 10/22 and I finally joined the fray and got a DPMS lower with m4 stock for $209 which I am pretty happy about....now I guess I need an upper!

I bought a new Glock 19, XS Big Dot sights, 8 G19 mags, case of 9mm ammo, and some Ranger SXT. Tonight I'll be ordering another MTAC.

My friend purchased a beautiful MAK-90 from ACME Sports $475 OTD. I am jealous.

Overall, I thought it was a good show.
