So in honor of IPSD, I'm going to have some Escudo in my unfinished Savinelli, and some Captain Earle's Reflections in a Lorenzo. This morning I finished off a bowl of Pebblecut I started Saturday night

So what's a good pipe? Leisurely speaking of course.

I have always been a fan of Peterson Pipes... but pipes are kind of like handguns.... you might want to look around at a number of alternatives and decide what is best for you. Oh, and you may end up with more than one.

We had a little break from the winter weather in our area last evening.... enjoyed a Padron 7000 Maduro on the porch.... first time in many moons.

Also, for anyone unaware, McClelland has announced they are closing their doors. They have been unable to source quality leaf grown in the U.S. of late. They are too small to navigate the new FDA regs in addition to importing the quality of raw materials to keep with their standards. Rather than lower their standards, they are shutting their doors. This is really sad. If you like Virginia tobacco, McClelland was peerless.
