    I believe I will stick with aluminum. I'm going to ask them to advise what the first baffle looks like when they take it down. if there is much erosion then ill opt for a steel or Ti first baffle on the rebuild.

    You are correct, they haven't said anything about replacing it or charging me. That said, my past experiences with S&W have been extremely positive and I am sincerely hoping that this one follows suit.

    No worries I had over30k thru mine when the trigger link gave up and slide wobbled. Sent it back( they provided shipping box and prepaid shipping label) was returned in 7days. New slide,link and test fire with target and no charge.

    Glad to hear that they did so awesome with the customer service. I will be sure to put one on the list of plinkers to possible get when i get rich.

    That is hella cool that they replaced the slide for free. 50K is a lifetime worth of ammo for most pieces. Glad you weren't hurt. I have one I shoot with a huntertown can. Glad you didn't get a baffle strike too!!!

    I was worried about my P22, it's a older model with lots of rounds.
    But i'm not so worried about it now, if they fixed it for nothing.

    I did get a SR22 just because I like the feel better, and the P22 went to the wife as her 22 pistol! Win Win the way I see it!
