Awkward. They (whoever 'They' is) should have hired a professional Russian for the job.

They'd have made it rain Sarin or Mustard Gas.

Suddenly I'm picturing a squadron of drones (they're small, so 18-24 of them) and hearing Ride of the Valkyries.
Guyat work would catch mice for his snake at home.
    He had an oversupply though.
So he tied little parachutes to them, and tossed them from a building 200 foot up, with that song playing.
    It
    Was
    Awesome.

I don't know if this is true, but think of this possibility...

The Falkland battle was fought to take the citizens minds off Argentina's economy wars. Figured Britain wouldn't be in a position to do anything that far away with their own troubles. Would make the Argentine govt look good.

Hitler gained momentum by placing the blame for economic woes on various places, going to war.
The Japanese were also fighting for resources.

Many of the Crusades were fought over trade routes.

    Goes on and on.

Wars are often used to distract people from their problems. Gets everyone working together, in one direction. Distracts.

Now Venezuela is pointing at Columbia...
    That can't be good.

Very easy to use a drone and stage an attack on yourself.

Especially when the attack was not pressed home and the target wasn't even so much as ruffled, nor did he seem to exhibit any surprise or fear in photos. My guess is he was in on the script. Too bad no one arranged a "Sadat surprise" for him inside the shill event

    So this gets interesting. :)

Looks like the US has recognized opposition leader Juan Guaido as president.

The Venezuelan National guard are reportedly shooting at anti Maduro protesters in Barinas, just moments after Juan Guaido declared himself President.

Sometimes things happen that remind us of how great our country is.

Like, the notion that "elections have consequences." Those "consequences" do not include firefights between different factions of the armed forces.

Well, let's not dismiss our possible involvement altogether. We do have the track record, and I believe there were a few stories about Trump inquiring about invading as well.
