    So, I found this interesting.

    http://www.nytimes.com/2016/04/20/n...aign-trail-is-not-registered-to-fly.html?_r=0

Trump likes to fly is own planes around. Good brand advertising. He's done it for years. Of course, the planes are owned and operated by a single-member LLC, with him as the single member. He's had his own aircraft for years. He knows how it works.

Yet, with all the best people he's hired, he hasn't managed to pay for a $5 renewal.

Maybe he has some speeding or parking tickets, too? Maybe even an expired vehicle tag?

"Airworthiness" seems quite a bit more important than an expired car registration. (My understanding is that the filing is administrative, but the stuff necessary to file it is the important part.)

But again, this is just and example of the accountability part of leadership, and his lack thereof. If he has tickets or other regulatory failings, it would simply be more evidence of such.

Could be, but I don't believe any of those carry a possible penalty of "Though it is unlikely that the agency would seek the maximum penalty, flying with no registration could result in a civil penalty of up to $27,500, a criminal fine of up to $250,000 and imprisonment for up to three years, it said." And according to the article the plane has made dozens of flights since it's registration lapsed... That could add up to yuuuge amount.

OOOH the Cessna's registration lapsed this is definitely a huge issue that should be discussed at great length. Lets just ignore that Ted Cruz is still in the race because he hopes he can steal the nomination against the wishes of the people and Kasich is only running to try to ensure that the nominee the people want elected does not get the Republican nod. What? Against the wishes of the people? WTF are you talking about? This whole process is designed to go against the wishes of the people. If "the people" actually got their wish, neither Trump nor Cruse would be the only choice left. Yer peddling the wrong sour grapes.

Still think Trump isn't playing you?

Addressing about 100 committee members at the spring meeting here, many of them deeply skeptical about Mr. Trump’s candidacy, the campaign chief, Paul Manafort, bluntly suggested the candidate’s incendiary style amounted to an act.

“That’s what’s important for you to understand: That he gets it, and that the part he’s been playing is evolving,” Mr. Manafort said, suggesting that Mr. Trump was about to begin a more professional phase of his campaign.

You still think he will build a wall? Still think he's your middle finger? I suppose at this point it doesn't matter. He's gonna be the Republican guy, but I strongly suspect for all your fierce loyalty, you've just nominated a crass, exponentially more egotistical version of the average east coast Republican.

But you were given clues. Red flags. You didn't see them. When a guy goes to Liberty University and awkwardly quotes from "two Corrinthians 317", you had to know he's pandering. In Alabama when he told the crowd there his favorite book is the Bible. It should have occurred to you that he's playing a part. It's obvious to anyone who isn't "fiercely loyal" that Trump knew he needed the evangelicals, and had to play the part (even though he didn't know the part very well).

So he's playing a part. And now it's time to pivot. He's been playing the person you need, the one you fiercely want him to be. And you should have known it. The strategy he's been using all along is laid out in his actual favorite book, you know, the one HE wrote. And you missed it because you were too busy being fiercely loyal. So now, he needs to play a different part. The part that can actually appeal to moderates. You know, the GOPe. The independents. The ones not fiercely loyal to Hillary. Will you like that Donald Trump as well as the middle finger one?

So... you're saying... his supporters were being conned!? Sold a candidate that isn't genuine?!

If only people could have warned them before it reached this point.

    If only.

Well, "conned" is such a strong word. So. Yeah. I guess that's exactly what I'm saying.

Yes. We could have done exactly what our betters told us to do and supported Jeb, the only true candidate.

Of course he pandered to the evangelicals, in this day and age Republicans unfortunately have to pander to that particular group as they are a strong voting block. Trump is taking a good moderate position right now that he is confident in securing the nomination with his views on the LBGT issues. This is important because allot of voters were driven from the Republican party because of its shall we say archaic views on that particular subject.

Probably the best that we can hope for, in all of this fiasco, is that some of you who are newly interested in politics...will learn to judge a man by his actions in the past, not his empty rhetoric!

Quite possibly not. But we'll still like him better than Cruz. The same Cruz who is playing the part of a man of integrity but who has two loans from 'to big to fail' wallstreet megabanks. Both with zero interest. The one from Goldman supposedly collateralized by a margin account, but that account was less than 15% the size of the loan. And the one from Citi not even collateralized, essentially a signature loan for half a million $$. But I'm su-u-u-re there is no Quid Pro Quo there, they did it out of the goodness of their bankers hearts expecting nothing in return. I'm sure it was a total co-incidence that Mrs. Cruz was named a director at Goldman just nine days after Cruz won his senate race. He's not playing the part of a man of integrity at all.

He's bought and paid for. The thirty pieces of silver just had to be adjusted for inflation

Is it not awkward to cast doubt on Cruz's finances while advocating for Trump? (ETA: not that you advocated for Trump in that post - just an observation generally.) Or, again, is it the fact that Trump does not seriously claim to be a man of integrity, so his financial misdeeds are less meaningful?

Oh I'm sorry, let me check again how many businesses Ted Cruz runs.

What was that? Zero? He bribes delegates and takes massive undisclosed loans from the very people he preaches against?

I'm sure all that can be forgiven since he'll raise a bible above his head and pretend he is holier than thou, while taking pictures with a cow made of butter.
