The guy who threw the punch is also a cowboy action shooter, so I am assuming that he is a gun enthusiast. I REALLY hope that he gets a felony conviction. I don't even care about jail time, but the irony of this guy losing his right to own a firearm because he chose to act out at a Trump rally is too sweet to miss. Either try him for the the felony or let him take a plea to a felony, then take his firearms. If he is ever seen in possession of a firearm again (like at a SASS event) charge him with being a felon in possession of a firearm and send him away.

I don't care how old he is. We MUST nip this type of political violence in the bud NOW. If that means making an example out of this old thug and ruining his life, so be it.
He was not only a cowboy action shooter but has an extensive boxing background. IANAL but the boxing background may influence the extent of the charges against hi. But he claims to be a religious man, so I'm sure he'll be playing the "Praying for Forgiveness" card any time now.

The World is a tough place Millennials, even more so when you can't hide under momma's skirt..
Hummmmm.. Lesson learned when a Liberal Democrat shows up at a huge Republican Event and gets on a soapbox and runs off at the mouth..

A old man puts you in your place...
The young man's lucky, it could have been a man in his 40's.. It would really hurt then.
I bet the young man doesn't do social experiments again, and I'm quite sure he will never get dragged out of a statium giving the crowd the finger..

The videos, which appeared on social media early Thursday and are shot from different perspectives, show an African American with long hair wearing a white T-shirt leaving Trump’s Wednesday-night rally as the audience boos. He is being led out by men in uniforms that read “Sheriff’s Office.” The man extends a middle finger to the audience on his way out

Jones said he and four friends — a “diverse” group that included a white woman, a Muslim, and a gay man — had gone to the rally as a “social experiment.”

And what place would that be? Probably not they best choice of words given the dynamic...

I wonder if good old Chicago has any Water Cannons ??

Maybe we should wash away the free speech crowd outside so Free Speech can happen inside..

So, stopping someone from exercising free speech is okay and would not be an abuse of power?

So the Obama supporters should have punched Republican protesters at Obama rallies? I mean, you know, when someone starts running off at the mouth and all....

Should the Trump haters free speech be allowed to shut down a free speech event ?? All citizens have free speech, the question is, should one be allowed to overtake a Private Event and shutdown there free speech over security concerns.
    Personally, I think not.

Not even sure how this applies to guy being escorted out of the event, by security, and then being assaulted.

You didn't answer either question, but the answer to yours is, maybe. If someone spews nothing but hate and doesn't provide proper security for his "private" events, maybe it should be shut down. It wasn't free speech that shut the rally down, but poor planning. But, I'm sure that will be the fault of the police and have nothing to do with Trump.

So, stopping someone from exercising free speech is okay and would not be an abuse of power?

They're attacking people, beating cars to pieces with hammers and bats, and stopping traffic across the area, as well as threatening the general public.

That's not free speech, this is a violent riot.

I'll put it this way, my opinion is, if someone is having a event that involves the 1st Amendment and others show up that they don't agree with and cause disruption and that causing the event to be canceled,
The folks that showed up uninvited need to be turned around and sent home, if they don't leave time to start arresting folks.

And where is it that HE keeps spewing hate ?? Can you fill me in ??

Well, I'm sure we got here because Trump was just being so nice and kind. His words were nothing but incendiary, bigoted and hateful. So, let's not examine the result without looking at the cause.

That's not how it works in America. The process is open to all. Trump reaped what he sowed.

Woah there buddy, specifically what has he said that was incendiary, bigoted, and hateful?

I hear it all the time yet nobody is willing to point out specifics.

I am watching this idiocy unfold. I am guessing the protesters aren't conservatives. The liberals need to condemn this. But they won't. They will say it's just freedom of speech. What about the freedom of speech of the conservatives that is being suppressed. It's not a 2 way street. Really sad.

And in all honesty I am not surprised. This is a sudo conservative walking in to the heart of ultra liberalism. Stupid move Trump.

It's how they roll. I don't see this as any different from Ferguson. People getting riled up and behaving badly for it.

That sounds very much like what many have asked of Trump concerning his speech, but the "conservatives" have said nothing.
