In 85 I had a guy that I had arrested on a drug charge that was looking at 15-20 years, sit outside of my home with a rifle and was going to kill me when I left for work, but I fooled him I was off that night. Before that I very seldom ever carried off duty, now every time I step outside of my home.

As far as the drug deal his lawyer worked out a deal with the prosecutor office and he got 2-3 years.
In regards to sitting outside of my home - nothing - the prosecutor said that since it was his psychiatrist that notified us about it, there wasn't enough evidence to do anything.

Nope, nothing like that, but man I'd been pissed off. Think of the paperwork, having to clean my gun, what a pain in the ass that would have been. But he did die of cancer about 5 years later.

The paperwork would have annoyed me, but I enjoy cleaning my gun. It's very relaxing.

No, that is not a euphemism. Although, if it were, it would still work.
