It worked that way for my daughter.

Yeah? So what strip club is she workin at?:joke:

Sorry, I couldn't resist. My 16 year daughter was just explaining to me the other day that I am driving her towards a career in stripping or porn.

First, without warning, I took down her swingset that I built when she was 3.

Next weekend I am taking down the above ground pool that I installed before she was born.

Her beloved 4-H pig, Nicky, that we bought with intentions to have bred, has a genetic condition that makes only good for one thing, bacon.

Since she doesn't wish to participate in high school athletics anymore, I made her get a job. A job where she must wear ugly black shoes, black slacks, a white blouse, and a black blazer AND deliver meals to hospital patients.

She explained that one at a time, these events could be easily processed, but all at once, they will probably cause "daddy issues" for years to come that will force her into a career in adult entertainment and a lifetime of therapy.

If an effort to head off this potential catastrophe, I hung a swing, taken from her swingset, from a tree branch, near the place her swingset used to stand. She said that gesture would probably keep her out of porn, but she couldn't rule out stripping.

I then offered to let her help drain the pool. She asked how this would help heal the deep wounds that I am creating by taking her childhood apart piece by piece. I smiled and pointed to our gunsafe. She said that would probably do it.:D

She came back 5 minutes later and said that after additional consideration, by forcing her into a food service job where she must wear a ghastly uniform, she couldn't rule out working at Hooter's or the Tilted Kilt for extra $$$ when she goes to college. There's just no pleasing that child.

Not to mention the fact that many women seem to gravitate towards a**holes. It's like moths to a flame. Then they can't understand why their relationships always suck. It's a puzzle.

I think this happens because the nice guys are too shy to talk to the nice girls. The arrogant aholes have an overabundance of confidence, not necessarily self esteem but they do possess confidence. Since many have that entitlement complex they will pursue the girls the nice guys only dream about.

Many nice girls are lonely so they go out with the aholes because the are they only ones brave enough to talk to them. Unfortunately the aholes don't have any identifying marks to warn women what they are before a girl accepts the date.

I personally avoid angry and confrontational men. Life is too short for drama. I'd rather be alone than have to walk on egg shells. I have a healthy self image so I don't need anyone else to validate me. Nor do I need anyone else to support me. Therefore I have no reason to put up with BS.

For some women it is a cultural kind of thing. They grow up with constant drama so they think drama is not only acceptable but to be expected.

I also think there are women and some men for that matter that lack ambition in life. All they want is someone else to take care of them. They don't want to work for the things they want so they attach to anyone who is willing to give them the lifestyle they want. Too many people are willing to sell their soul for material things.

I agree there are worthless examples from both genders.

This is why I found my current wife when we were 17 and I just kept her. It would be way too much effort to get a new one...
I guess that was about 36 years ago.

I will celebrate 33 years with my darling wife this coming August. The 31 years spent Prior to meeting her were a blur.

When they threw that "'til death do you part" thing in there, nobody thought they'd live that long!
